METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TREATING WASTEWATER
The present disclosure provides methods and systems for processing or treating wastewater. The methods of systems of the present disclosure may perform a treatment process on a wastewater stream including gray water and black water to produce a product stream. The product stream may comprise a potable water stream or a stream of treated water with a reduced concentration of one or more contaminant originally included in the wastewater stream.
BIO-FILTER SYSTEM
A bio-filter system is disclosed. The disclosed bio-filter system comprises: a transfer pipe for collecting and transferring N.sub.2O generated in any one tank from among an anaerobic tank, an anoxic tank, and an aeration tank; a bio-filter unit including a carrier for removing, by means of microbial reaction, the N.sub.2O discharged from the transfer pipe; and a sewage supply member for spraying sewage into the carrier in order to provide nourishment for microorganisms to the carrier. The bio-filter unit comprises: a filter housing; an induction discharge pipe, which is installed on the lower side of the inside of the filter housing, for inducing the N.sub.2O transferred by the transfer pipe in a transverse direction and enabling same to be discharged upwardly through a nozzle; the carrier, which is disposed on the upper side of the induction discharge pipe inside the filter housing, for removing, by means of microbial reaction, the N.sub.2O discharged through the induction discharge pipe; and a sewage spraying member, which is disposed on the top of the carrier inside the filter housing, for spraying sewage supplied from the sewage supply member to the carrier so as to utilize the sewage as nourishment for microorganisms.
Sewage treatment system having a trickling filter with wash unit
A sewage treatment system, includes a solid-liquid separating apparatus having a first filtering medium packed layer packed with a predetermined filtering medium, configured to separate sewage to be treated into solid components and filtered water by passing the sewage through the first filtering medium packed layer upward, and configured to reversely wash the first filtering medium packed layer by passing the filtered water through the first filtering medium packed layer downward at a predetermining timing; and a trickling filter installed on a latter stage of the solid-liquid separating apparatus, having a second filtering medium packed layer packed with a filtering medium attached with microorganisms, and configured to allow the filtered water to fall into the second filtering medium packed layer by trickling the filtered water onto an upper part of the second filtering medium packed layer to flow out treated water acquired by biotreating the filtered water by the microorganisms.
Method and apparatus for selenium removal from high TDS wastewater
A process for removal of selenium and nitrate from waste water includes both electrochemical and bioprocessing treatment. Embodiments include use of activated walnut shell a growth media for selenium-reducing bacteria.
Effective Treatment of Food Waste and its Wastewater Using a Durable Biocarrier with High Microbial Loading
The present disclosure relates to biocarriers with high microbial loading and durability useful for waste treatment, waste treatment systems comprising the same, and methods of use thereof.
Apparatus for sewage deep bed denitrification with high pollutant carrying capacity and low energy consumption, and method for running the same
The invention discloses an apparatus for sewage deep denitrification with high pollutant carrying capacity and low energy consumption and a method for running the same, characterized in that: the apparatus mainly includes a settling tank, an electrodialysis device, a pH adjusting tank, a first chemical storage tank, a biofilter, a second chemical storage tank, a redox potential measuring device, a backwash pump, and a clean water tank, wherein the biofilter is provided with a gas collecting device, an uniform water distributor, a first filter bed, a second filter bed, a third filter bed, and a fourth filter bed sequentially from up to down, a second dosing port is arranged underneath the second filter bed, and the second chemical storage tank is communicated to the second dosing port respectively through a first flow path and a second flow path.
BIOREACTOR FOR SULFATE REDUCTION
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a bioreactor, a floating bioremediation platform system, and a process for reducing sulfates, in surface water.
Bioreactor for wastewater treatment
There is described a bioreactor comprising a perforated tube for inputting wastewater therein, a textured wall, such as a geotextile membrane, and an oxygenating unit comprising a pressurized air bubble diffuser. The wall is spirally installed around the perforated tube, defining a passageway fluidly connected to the perforated tube and along which the wastewater inputted in the perforated tube is forced to travel. The membrane is adapted for hosting aerobic bacteria at a surface thereof. The oxygenating unit is provided at a bottom of the passageway for oxygenating the passageway. The bioreactor can be included in a treatment apparatus comprising primary treatment chambers and a decantation chambers, forming a standalone unit which is compact and easy to install.
ELECTRON DONOR BIOFILM CARRIER AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure provides an electron donor biofilm carrier and preparation method thereof. The electron donor biofilm carrier is mainly used in anaerobic or anoxic suspended carrier biofilm technologies. Electron donors with a standard electrode potential below 100 My are used as the functional material for preparation of electron donorbiofilm carrier. The electron donor biofilm carrier may contribute to the enrichment of the biofilm functional bacteria and the improvement on treatment performance of the anaerobic or anoxic suspended carrier biofilm reactor.
