Methods of remediating liquid compositions containing sulfur and other contaminants
A treatment process for remediating H.sub.2S and other contaminants in liquids includes: partially filling a closed vessel with a contaminated liquid containing ≥5 ppm H.sub.2S with a head space above the liquid within the vessel where gasses released from the liquid from the liquid collect; separately providing a treatment composition in the head space so that the gasses from the liquid may contact the treatment composition; and permitting the contact between the vapors from the liquid and the treatment composition to continue until a collective concentration of H.sub.2S in the liquid and in the head space is <5 ppm. The treatment composition includes an aqueous solution containing at least one hydroxide compound, a collective concentration of the at least one hydroxide compound in the aqueous solution is in a range of 35-55 weight %, and the aqueous solution constitutes at least 80 weight % of the treatment composition.
System for recovering fat, oil and grease from wastewater
A system for recovering fat, oil and grease (FOG) from wastewater has multiple annular flotation zones in a concentric configuration surrounding a central column to create progressively increasing surface areas for FOG and solid particles flotation, and thereby enhance FOG recovery and removal. Each flotation zone is equipped with an independent pressurized micro air and ozone bubbles distribution system. A controlled amount of ozone can be injected into the wastewater along with recirculated effluent and micro-size air bubbles. Upon the release of pressurized air-ozone-water mixture, micro-size bubbles are generated and distributed in each flotation zone to effectively float up FOG and solid particles in the wastewater stream.
Method for Treating Wastewater
The present invention relates to a method for treating wastewater containing a furan compound, a microbial preparation for use in the method, a method for high density culture of a microorganism for use in the above method, and a method for producing a microbial preparation by using the culture method.

The treatment composition can include a stannous corrosion inhibitor and optionally an additive that enhances the corrosion inhibition properties of the stannous component. The additive may include organic compounds having at least one heteroatom.
WASTE RECOVERING SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to automated waste recovering system and method which is not limited to a specific type of waste only. The system comprises a reactor for pyrolysis, a condensing unit connected to a water-cooled chiller to obtain liquid phase products and non-condensable gas, a gas treatment unit, a series of gas filtration unit to obtain clean gas, a storage and a control unit. The system also comprises a gas mixer unit to mix the non-condensable gas with hydrogen to obtain hydrocarbon rich gas, an artificial fuel condensing unit for condensing the hydrocarbon rich gas to obtain artificial fuel and water, which subsequently separated in a phase separator unit. The present invention provides a means to achieve constant yield by controlling conditions in the reactor and further increase the yield by producing artificial fuel.
System and method for treating hydrocarbon-containing feed streams
A water processing system includes a pretreatment system disposed within the water processing system. The pretreatment system may treat a feed stream including oil and brine and to generate a first brine stream. The pretreatment system includes a first filtration system that may receive the feed stream, the first filtration system may separate the feed stream into a hydrocarbon stream and an intermediate brine stream, the intermediate brine stream includes a plurality of minerals, and the hydrocarbon stream includes water, the oil, and suspended solids. The water processing system also includes a mineral removal system fluidly coupled to and disposed downstream from the first filtration system. The mineral removal system may receive and remove the plurality of minerals from the first brine stream output from the pretreatment system. The mineral removal system includes a first mineral removal unit that may remove a first portion of the plurality of minerals from the first brine stream and to generate a second brine stream. The water processing system also includes a hydrocarbon removal system disposed within the pretreatment system and fluidly coupled to the first filtration system. The hydrocarbon removal system may receive the hydrocarbon stream, to recover the oil, and to generate a recovered oil stream.
