POROUS TITANIA PHOTOCATALYST ON QUARTZ FIBERS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME FOR CHEMICAL-FREE UV-AOP IN WATER TREATMENT
The present disclosure provides for methods and systems that include a support of optically transparent quartz fibers having a meso-porous layer of TiO.sub.2-based catalytic layer on the fibers. The methods, systems, and compositions of the present disclosure provide chemical-free advanced oxidation to improve the affordability of UV AOPs for water treatment.
SOLAR POWERED SANITIZING WATER BOTTLE
A liquid purification system is disclosed, comprising a reservoir to store a liquid and a purifier including a plurality of LED's configured to emit ultraviolet light into the reservoir and the liquid therein. A solar cell is positioned on a top of the purifier to provide power to the plurality of LED's. The solar cell may also provide power to an electronic device via a cable extending from the purifier.
ULTRAVIOLET IRRADIATION UNIT AND ULTRAVIOLET STERILIZATION DEVICE
An ultraviolet irradiation unit of the present invention includes a casing, a light source emitting ultraviolet rays arranged in the casing, an ultraviolet transmitting body arranged between an ultraviolet emission opening of the casing and the light source. The casing has an outer diameter dimension that enables the casing to fit within a bore of a joint connected to a flow channel pipe.
Water purifier
A water purifier that includes: a water storage tank that includes an interior area and a first opening to the interior area; a cover unit that is configured to cover the first opening and that includes: a frame body that includes a second opening, and a water storage tank cover that is coupled to the frame body and that is configured to rotate about an axis such that the water storage tank cover opens or closes the second opening; a sterilizer that is configured to sterilize water in the water storage tank; a switching module that is configured to control electric power supply to the sterilizer; and an operation member that is configured to control the switching module based on the water storage tank cover being opened or closed is disclosed.
PHOTOCATALYSIS AND DEVICE IMPLEMENTING SAME
A method and apparatus for photodegradation of pollutants using a modular baffled wastewater purification tank. Baffle surfaces are lined with a photocatalyst film and arrange in such a way to provide liquid turbulence and increased time for the photodegradation processes to occur. For certain embodiments, after water treatment, the baffle walls may be washed, regenerated, and re-introduced in the water treatment tank. The water treatment tank includes a series of UV lamps placed on the top of the photocatalytic chamber. Because of the modular design of the baffled purification system, the water treatment and the change of baffle pads can take place singly or simultaneously.
LIQUID TREATMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS
A method and apparatus for treating a liquid using ultraviolet radiation. A thin flow of liquid in a supercritical flow is irradiated by at least one radiation source external to the thin flow. The flow may desirably have a Froude number greater than 3 and a velocity greater than 0.8 m/s. The apparatus for treating a liquid including may have a reservoir supplying liquid though a slot into an open channel to generate a thin flow of liquid having a supercritical flow along the channel with at least one radiation source external to the thin flow to irradiate the thin flow.
Water treatment system
A water treatment system is provided with an untreated water reservoir having a cavity through which a filter assembly may traverse such that untreated water in the cavity passes through the filter assembly into a treated water reservoir. Traversal of the filter assembly may be facilitated by a pressure control assembly configured to generate a vacuum.
Sterilizing apparatus
Disclosed is a sterilization apparatus including: a semiconductor UV (ultraviolet) light emitting diode; and a case including an upper section with an internal space and an entrance opening, a bottom face opposite to the entrance opening, and a lateral face connecting the bottom face and the upper section.
System and method for water purification
The present invention is a water purification system and method including a treatment tank with a water inlet, a chlorine source, and a heating element; at least one storage tank with at least one treated water outlet between the treatment tank and the storage tank(s) through which treated water passes therebetween, and a final water outlet(s) through which treated water leaves the system for the benefit of the end user. A power source powers all elements that require power, such as the heating element.
WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A water treatment system includes a water passage, a magnet and a hydroxyl radical generator. Water flows through the water passage. The magnet is adjacent to the water passage and produces a magnetic field in the water passage, The hydroxyl radical generator generates hydroxyl radicals in the water in the water passage. A water treatment method includes the steps of providing a water passage, producing a magnetic field in the water passage, flowing water through the magnetic field and generating, while the water is in the magnetic field, hydroxyl radicals in the water. The water can be recirculated through the water passage a number of times.
