A surface cleaning apparatus includes a housing having a base and a partition, a supply tank removably mounted on the housing, and a recovery tank removably mounted on the housing. The tanks can be mounted within voids defined by portions of the housing. Latches can secure the tanks to the housing.

A floor cleaning device includes a horizontal portion and a vertical portion. The horizontal portion is capable of moving on a floor to be cleaned. The vertical portion is rotatably disposed on the horizontal portion. The horizontal portion includes a washing unit. The washing unit includes a rolling brush, a detergent liquid outlet, a detergent liquid tank and a pump. The rolling brush is capable of washing the floor to be cleaned. The detergent liquid tank communicates with the detergent liquid outlet. The pump conveys the detergent liquid from the detergent liquid tank to the detergent liquid outlet and finally to the floor to be cleaned. The detergent liquid may serve as an interface active agent of the floor to be cleaned. The detergent liquid cooperates with the rolling brush to scrub the floor to be cleaned.

A sweeping tool includes an elongated handle having a proximal end and a distal end, a bracket coupled to the distal end of the elongated handle, and a cleaning assembly coupled to the bracket. The cleaning assembly is designed to rotate about an axis passing through a portion of the bracket. The cleaning assembly includes a housing designed to hold a rotatable brush head and to collect debris swept up by the rotatable brush head. The cleaning assembly also includes a broom head coupled to the housing and a plurality of bristles coupled to the broom head.

A surface cleaning apparatus, such as a fluid delivery or steam mop, comprises a handle assembly comprising a steam distributor and a foot assembly pivotally attached to the handle assembly and comprising a base housing. The foot assembly can be used in two positions, whereby opposing sides of a cleaning pad on the base housing can selectively engage a surface to be cleaned. The foot assembly is further swivelable relative to the steam distributor, such that fluid can be delivered to the surface to be cleaned in both of the two use positions.

A floor cleaning machine including a handle that pivots relative to a base about a pivot axis. A recovery tank is coupled to the handle in fluid communication with a suction motor assembly to receive and store fluid and dirt drawn through a suction nozzle. The floor cleaning machine further includes an expandable hose fluidly communicating the recovery tank and the suction nozzle. The hose is in an expanded configuration when the handle is pivoted about the pivot axis to a reclined position. The hose is in a retracted configuration when the handle is pivoted about the pivot axis to a substantially upright position. The hose at least partially wraps around the pivot axis with the pivot axis being between a portion of the hose wrapped around the pivot axis and the surface being cleaned in the expanded and the retracted configurations.

A steam cleaning apparatus for delivering steam of a surface to be cleaned is provided with a steam unit, a handle tube and an indexable base. The base can be indexed between a wide orientation where a long edge of the base is orthogonal to the direction of travel and a narrow orientation where a short edge of the base is orthogonal to the direction of travel.

The present invention relates to the field of floor treatment machines for scrubbing, polishing, sanding or burnishing floors. In these machines one or more driven rotatable work heads (such as scrubbing brushes) are provided for agitating the floor surface. There is provided a walk-behind floor treatment machine comprising: a base portion provided with and supported by at least one rotatable work head for treating the floor, a handle portion for steering or guiding the machine along a working direction of travel and adapted to be pivotable with respect to the base portion, drive means for rotating the work head with respect to the base portion, floor-engaging wheel means for supporting the handle portion, the wheel means having a substantially transverse axis of rotation so as to permit travel in the working direction, the wheel means being coupled to the base portion by a linkage which permits vertical travel of the base portion and associated work head or heads with respect to the wheel means, but which provides transverse constraint to limit or prevent yawing of the base portion with respect to the wheel means, wherein a lower region of the handle portion is pivotably connected to the wheel means via an articulated joint, the arrangement being such that the handle portion may be manipulated to act on the wheel means so as to yaw steer the wheel means about a yaw axis defined by the floor-engaging contact of the wheel means, the yawing of the wheel means causing the base portion to yaw in response to yaw steering, and wherein a handle pivot lock mechanism is provided in which the adoption of a predetermined handle portion orientation permits one or more locking feature to act on one or more corresponding constraint feature so as to prevent pivoting movement of the handle portion with respect to the base portion. The predetermined handle orientation may be a vertical orientation. In the predetermined orientation the locking feature becomes aligned with the constraint feature so as to permit mutual engagement, and when the orientation is not achieved misalignment prevents engagement of the features.

A cleaning system may have a trolley bucket assembly, a vacuum recovery tank, and a vacuum motor assembly. The trolley bucket assembly may have a bucket, a wheeled chassis, and a spigot fluidly connected to the bucket. A user may dispense and regulate the flow of cleaning liquid from the bucket through the spigot by manually adjusting the spigot. The tank may hold cleaning liquid and soil, and may have a bottom wall, a vacuum recovery inlet, and a transfer outlet through which cleaning liquid may be transferred to the bucket for reuse. The bottom wall may have an interior surface; and the transfer outlet may have an entry opening through which cleaning liquid from the tank enters the transfer outlet. The entry opening may be positioned above a portion of the interior surface, thereby inhibiting soil that settles on the interior surface portion from passing through the transfer outlet.

The present invention provides a handheld sweeping and mopping structure, comprising a handle and a body shell, wherein a sweeping and mopping module, a water tank module, a driving module, a garbage collection module, a control module and a power supply module are provided inside the body shell. The handheld sweeping and mopping structure of the present invention can sweep the floor and also mop the floor, has higher efficiency and better effect than the conventional sweeping and mopping mode; and meanwhile, a disposable garbage box which is convenient to replace is used, and it is unnecessary to clean the garbage box repeatedly.

An accessory tool usable with an extraction cleaner for cleaning a surface includes a tool body, fluid reservoir, and porous spray bar. The tool body defines a fluid pathway, an airflow pathway, and a suction nozzle connected to the airflow pathway, and connects to the extraction cleaner via an accessory hose. The reservoir is in fluid communication with the fluid pathway and carried by the tool body. The porous spray bar, which is coupled to the tool body adjacent the reservoir and surrounded by the nozzle, directs the cleaning fluid from the reservoir onto the surface. The fluid pathway connects via the hose to a fluid delivery system aboard the extraction cleaner to receive the cleaning fluid and direct the cleaning fluid to the reservoir. The airflow pathway connects the suction nozzle via the hose to a fluid recovery system aboard the extraction cleaner.
