A floor cleaner including a base movable over a surface to be cleaned, a suction nozzle provided on the base having a suction inlet, a body portion having a fluid dispensing member selectively removable from the body portion, the body portion being pivotally mounted to the base movable between an upright storage position and an inclined floor cleaning position, a suction source in fluid communication with the suction nozzle, and a reservoir configured to provide solution. The fluid dispensing member includes a grip, a dispensing nozzle in fluid communication with the reservoir, and an actuator. The fluid dispensing member is configured to deliver solution from the reservoir through the dispensing nozzle upon user actuation of the actuator, independent of function of the base and body of the floor cleaner.

A surface cleaning apparatus having an upright assembly, a power source, and a coiled electrical cable. The upright assembly including a frame and a telescoping handle at last partially extending from the frame and movable between an extended position and a contracted position. The coiled electrical cable being provided within a portion of the telescoping handle and configured to uncoil or coil when the telescoping handle is moved between the extended position and the contracted position.

Disclosed herein are various embodiments of a system and method for operating a surface pressure washer with a wand component. The method may include the steps of cleaning a first surface through a first fluid path, where the first fluid path includes a pump, a pressure regulating valve, a diversion block, and a spray gun, while spray nozzles are not discharging fluid to a second surface, actuating a valve connected to the diversion block, thereby reducing the pressure available to the first fluid path and creating a second fluid path, where the second fluid path includes the pump, the pressure regulating valve, the diversion block and the spray nozzles, where the spray nozzles are configured to rotate above the second surface when the second fluid path is open, and cleaning a second surface underneath the pressure washer system through the second fluid path.

A cleaning apparatus for cleaning grout in tile floors and other surfaces has a proximal end (1) connected to a vacuum source (11) and a high pressure water source (12) activated by a trigger mechanism (13) connected by conduits (6, 8) to a distal end (2) having a cleaning head (7) with nozzle (18) and brush barriers (21, 22) to retain water for conveying by vacuum to the vacuum source.

A portable cleaner has a recovery tank, including a container for receiving and storing recovered liquid and/or dirt and an openable tank lid for covering the container. The present disclosure provides a surface cleaning apparatus that includes a steam delivery system for steam mopping a floor surface after sweeping dry dirt, dust, hair, and other debris from the floor surface. The surface cleaning apparatus can be configured to perform multiple cleaning functions, including dry sweeping and steam mopping. The surface cleaning apparatus can have a steam vent for venting a portion of the steam from a brush chamber.

A driving mechanism for an autonomous planar surface cleaning robot is disclosed. The driving mechanism includes a first transmission component and a second transmission component spaced apart in parallel relationship relative to the first transmission component. Each of the first and second transmission components defines first and second ends and first and second sides, wherein the first sides face each other and the second sides face away from each other in a direction transverse from the direction of motion and the first and second ends are oppositely spaced along the direction of motion. Each of the first and second transmission components are independently controllable by a control unit of the autonomous planar surface cleaning robot.
