Curved vehicle displays
Embodiments of a curved vehicle display including a display module having a display surface, a curved glass substrate disposed on the display surface having a first major surface, a second major surface having a second surface area, and a thickness in a range from 0.05 mm to 2 mm, wherein the second major surface comprises a first radius of curvature of 200 mm or greater, wherein, when the display module emits a light, the light transmitted through the glass substrate has a substantially uniform color along 75% or more of the second surface area, when viewed at a viewing angle at a distance of 0.5 meters from the second surface. Methods of forming a curved vehicle display are also disclosed.
CHEMICALLY STRENGTHENED GLASS CERAMIC AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
The present invention relates to a chemically strengthened glass ceramic including a crystalline phase, having two main surfaces opposed to each other, and including an amorphized region in a surface layer of at least one of the main surfaces and a crystallized region inside the glass, in which the amorphized region has a crystallinity of 10 vol % or less at a depth of 100 nm from an outermost surface of the glass.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE HOUSING AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
An electronic device housing, and an electronic device including the same are provided. The electronic device housing includes a substrate including glass, an insert portion which is bonded to the substrate at a surface of the insert portion, and at which a functional component of an electronic device having the electronic device housing is disposed, and an elastic layer which is between the substrate and the insert portion and extends along the surface of the insert portion.
WINDSHIELD
A windshield according to the present invention includes an outer glass plate, an inner glass plate that faces the outer glass plate, and an intermediate film disposed between the outer glass plate and the inner glass plate, and in at least a partial region of the outer glass plate and the inner glass plate, compressive principal stress on a surface on a vehicle exterior side of the outer glass plate is larger than compressive principal stress on a surface on a vehicle interior side of the inner glass plate.
Shaped glass laminates
Embodiments of a laminate including a first curved glass substrate comprising a first viscosity (poises) at a temperature of 630° C.; a second curved glass substrate comprising a second viscosity that is greater than the first viscosity at a temperature of 630° C.; and an interlayer disposed between the first curved glass substrate and the second curved glass substrate, are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the first curved glass substrate exhibits a first sag depth that is within 10% of a second sag depth of the second curved glass substrate. In one or more embodiments, the first glass substrate and the second glass substrate exhibit a shape deviation therebetween of about ±5 mm or less as measured by an optical three-dimensional scanner or exhibit minimal optical distortion. Embodiments of vehicles including such laminates and methods for making such laminates are also disclosed.
