The plurality of metal spikes provides side-to-side swinging motion to remove the charred debris from the top and side portions of the barbecue grill.

A barbeque grill scraper that uses a scraping edge with a tooth formed of a wearable material to remove char and debris from the grill grates. The tooth fits between adjoining grill grates to guide the scraping edge and create a plurality of indents in the scraping edge that match the top profile of the grill grates. The grill grates are thus thoroughly cleaned without the health risks associated with wire brush cleaners. Another embodiment further utilizes a protruding cleaning tool to access and clean the lower sides and bottom of the grill grates.

An automated grill cleaning system for automatically cleaning a grill in a cooker includes a cooking unit that may be used to cook. The cooking unit has a housing and a grill is positioned in the housing. The housing has an outer wall. A cleaning unit is coupled to the cooking unit and the cleaning unit is positioned on the outer wall. The cleaning unit selectively engages the grill. The cleaning unit urges itself to travel along the grill to abrade debris from the grill.

A scrubbing device with a protective handle is disclosed by this invention. The protective handle protects the fingernails, knuckles and digits of a user during use. The protective handle is flexible and malleable. The user grips the protective handle and rolls it over their fingernails, digits, upper knuckles and lower knuckles and tucks their thumb either behind or in front of the handle. The protective handle then protects the user's fingernails, knuckles and digits during use. The scrubbing device with a protective handle may have a protective pad or a protective coating. The scrubbing device with a protective handle may have an attached scouring accessory.
