ULTRATHIN GLASS WITH HIGH IMPACT RESISTANCE
An ultrathin chemically toughened and subsequently etched glass article is provided. The article has a thickness of less than or equal to 0.4 mm and a breakage height (given in mm) of more than 200 multiplied by the thickness (t given in mm)). Further, the article has a breakage bending radius (given in mm) of less than 100000 multiplied by the thickness (t given in mm) and divided by a surface compressive stress (in MPa) measured at a first surface.
PHARMACEUTICAL PACKAGES WITH COATINGS COMPRISING POLYCYANURATES
The present disclosure is directed to pharmaceutical packages which include a coating that comprises polycyanurate, and methods for the production of such. In one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, a pharmaceutical package may comprise a glass container comprising a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The first surface may be an outer surface of the glass container. The pharmaceutical package may further comprise a coating positioned over at least a portion of the first surface of the glass container. The coating may comprise polycyanurate.
Multi-dimensional load structure
An exemplary multi-dimensional load structure may include a base panel having a tiered structure with an upper layer, a lower layer, and at least one interior layer therebetween. The load structure may also have a glass layer applied to at least surfaces of each of the upper layer, the lower layer, and the at least one interior layer not in contact with an adjacent layer. The load structure may further have a coating applied to the exterior of the glass layer. The at least one interior layer may be configured to withstand a greater compressive force than the upper layer and the lower layer and/or the upper layer and the lower layer may be lighter than the at least one interior layer.
Waterborne polyurethane coatings
The present invention provides waterborne polyurethane coating compositions. When applied to a substrate, the coating compositions of the present invention have good adhesion, transparency, scratch resistance, mar resistance, hardness, solvent resistance, water resistance, and dishwashing resistance. The coating compositions are suitable for application to any suitable substrate, including glass.
Glass article containing a coating with an interpenetrating polymer network
A glass article comprising a glass substrate and a coating on a surface of the glass substrate is disclosed. The coating comprises a glass frit and a binder comprising an interpenetrating polymer network. The interpenetrating polymer network comprises a crosslinked polyol resin, a second crosslinked resin, and a third resin. A method of forming the glass article containing the coating is also disclosed.
Composite material with enhanced mechanical properties and a method to fabricate the same
According to the present disclosure, a hydrophobic polymeric composite comprising a hydrophobic polymer matrix with hydrophobically modified particles dispersed therein is provided. The hydrophobically modified particles may be derived from hydrophilic particles modified with organic moieties. The hydrophobically modified particles may also take in the form of core-shell fibers with hydrophilic particles encapsulated inside the core of said fibers or in the form of monolithic fibers embedded with hydrophilic particles. The method for making hydrophobic polymeric composite comprising each of the various hydrophobically modified particles is also provided. The hydrophobic polymer matrix can be chosen from poly(alpha-hydroxyesters), of carbonates, polyurethanes or polyalkanoates. For example, hydrophilic particles, such as barium sulphate, zirconium oxide, tantalum oxide or bismuth oxide, are dispersed in the hydrophobic biodegradable polymers, such as poly-(L-lactide) (PLLA).
PROTECTION MEMBER FOR DISPLAY DEVICE, DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING PROTECTION MEMBER
A protection member for a display device includes a first glass substrate having a first surface and a second surface opposed to each other in a thickness direction and side surfaces; and a first coating layer covering and in contact with the side surfaces of the first glass substrate, and including a first surface and a second surface opposed to each other in the thickness direction and having side surfaces, wherein the first surface of the first glass substrate is exposed via the first coating layer, and the first surface of the first coating layer is located in substantially the same extended plane of the first surface of the first glass substrate.
ANTIFOGGING GLASS ARTICLE
An antifogging glass article includes a glass plate and a water absorption layer on at least a part of a surface of the glass plate. The water absorption layer includes a saturated water absorption amount of 200 mg/cm.sup.3 or more, a thickness of 2 to 50 m, and a moisture diffusion coefficient of 810.sup.14 m.sup.2/s or more measured at a temperature of 0 C. by a method defined in JIS K 7209.

Glass Molded Product
A glass molded product includes: a plate-like glass having a convex portion provided on an outer peripheral end face; and a frame made of resin which covers the convex portion and is provided by integral molding and which is flush with front and back surfaces of the plate-like glass; and a colored layer provided on the convex portion. Looking at the frame through the plate-like glass from a front side of the plate-like glass, the colored layer of the convex portion is observed as a background of the diffuse reflection which occurs at the boundary between the convex portion of the plate-like glass and the frame. Therefore, the color of the colored layer makes the diffuse reflection less noticeable and improves an appearance.
