In addition, the backplane is configured with at least one static bend having a bend radius between about 25 mm and about 5 mm. The electronic components of the electronic device assembly can include at least one thin film transistor (TFT) element or organic light emitting diode (OLED) element.
Liquid composition and its production process, and glass article
To provide a liquid composition capable of forming a coating film which has sufficient ultraviolet-absorbing ability and infrared-absorbing ability. A liquid composition for forming a coating film comprising an infrared absorber selected from indium tin oxide, antinomy tin oxide and a composite tungsten oxide, an ultraviolet absorber selected from a benzophenone compound, a triazine compound and a benzotriazole compound, a dispersing agent having an acid value and/or an amine value, a binder component and a liquid medium, wherein the dispersing agent is contained in a content such that the product of the sum (mgKOH/g) of the acid value and the amine value of the dispersing agent, and the mass ratio of the dispersing agent to the infrared absorber, is from 2 to 30 (mgKOH/g).
Anti-fogging film-forming material, coating liquid for forming anti-fogging film, anti-fogging article, and methods for producing these
Disclosed is an antifogging film-forming material obtained by reacting, in the presence of a quaternary ammonium salt or quaternary phosphonium salt, a copolymer represented by a certain general formula with a multifunctional epoxy compound having a solubility of 40-100 mass % in 25° C. water. The antifogging film-forming material is characterized by having a weight average molecular weight of 100,000-5,000,000. With this material, it becomes possible to obtain an antifogging article excellent in antifogging property, heat resistance, chemical resistance and abrasion resistance.
Semi-transparent coating material
A semi-transparent coating material for coating glass or glass ceramics includes at least one sol-gel hybrid-polymer coating system having a hybrid-polymer or inorganic sol-gel-based matrix, and nanoparticles and nanoscale pigments and/or dyes are added to the hybrid-polymer or inorganic sol-gel-based matrix.
DECORATIVE GLASS ELEMENT AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME
A decorative glass element including a transparent glass substrate with an outer surface exposed to an outer environment and separated from an inner surface by a substrate thickness, a structured coating made of a transparent polymer that is applied over all or part of the inner surface of the transparent glass substrate to form a coated substrate and a structured free surface with an R.sub.Z roughness between 0.1 and 4 mm, and a base support coupled to the coated substrate with an interior surface facing with or without contact the free surface of the structured coating and protecting the free surface from direct access from the outer environment.
Vehicle interior systems having a crack resistant curved cover glass and methods for forming the same
Embodiments of a vehicle interior system and associated processes are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the system includes a base with a curved surface, and a curved glass article disposed on the curved surface. The curved glass article includes a high modulus adhesive layer located on the second major surface. The high modulus adhesive layer has a modulus of elasticity of at least 500 MPa. The high modulus adhesive layer provides crack resistance to the glass article. Methods for forming such glass articles and vehicle interior systems are also disclosed.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ULTRA-THIN GLASS SUBSTRATE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DISPLAY PANEL
A method for manufacturing an ultra-thin glass substrate includes: providing a glass base material preset with n substrate areas and a skeleton area surrounding the substrate areas; at least forming an etching protection layer on an upper surface and a lower surface of each substrate area of the glass base material, respectively; at least etching the skeleton area of the glass base material to separate the substrate areas from the glass base material, and form a stress dissipation edge along an edge of each substrate area; and removing the etching protection layer to get independent glass substrates. A method for manufacturing a display panel is also disclosed. An aim is to prevent quality of the ultra-thin glass substrate from damage caused by scribing wheel cutting or laser cutting, therefore the quality of the ultra-thin glass substrate is improved.
ADHERING GLASS COVER SHEET TO A FRAME
Disclosed herein are embodiments of a method of forming a glass article having a glass cover sheet and a frame. The glass cover sheet includes a first major surface and a second major surface in which the second major surface is opposite the first major surface. The frame has a support surface. In the method, a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is applied to a first region of the glass cover sheet or of the frame. A liquid adhesive is applied to a second region of the glass cover sheet or of the frame.
