Dielectric mirror
A dielectric mirror includes a coating having alternating high and low index layers. The mirror coating has no metallic reflective layer of Al or Ag in certain example embodiments, and may have film side and/or glass side visible reflection of from about 50-90% (more preferably from about 60-80% and most preferably from about 65-75%) and visible transmission of from about 10-50% (more preferably from about 10-40% or 20-40%) in certain example embodiments.
CORROSION-RESISTANT AND/OR CLEANABLE COATED GLASS SUBSTRATE
A corrosion-resistant and/or cleanable coated glass substrates includes an outermost layer comprising from 0.5 to 20 atomic % cerium based on all components and to processes for producing corrosion-resistant and/or cleanable coated glass substrates including a step of sputtering a sputtering target comprising cerium to provide a layer comprising cerium oxide directly or indirectly on a first surface. The invention also provides the use of a layer comprising cerium oxide as a corrosion-resistant and/or cleanable coating on glass substrates, and to bath screens, shower screens and/or splash screens comprising corrosion-resistant and/or cleanable coated glass substrates.
VEHICLE WINDOW GLASS, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR, AND VEHICLE
Vehicle window glass, a manufacturing method therefor, and a vehicle are provided in the present disclosure. The vehicle window glass includes a glass substrate and a transparent nano coating. The glass substrate has an outer surface and an inner surface opposite to the outer surface. The transparent nano coating is disposed on the inner surface. The transparent nano coating includes a standard high refractive-index layer, an enhanced high refractive-index layer, and an outermost low refractive-index layer. The standard high refractive-index layer, the enhanced high refractive-index layer, and the outermost low refractive-index layer are sequentially laminated in a direction away from the inner surface. The standard high refractive-index layer has a refractive-index layer ranging from 1.61 to 2.59. The enhanced high refractive-index layer has a refractive index greater than or equal to 2.6. The outermost low refractive-index layer has a refractive index ranging from 1.35 to 1.60.
TRANSPARENT GLASS-CERAMIC ARTICLES WITH RETAINED STRENGTH AND DISPLAY DEVICES WITH THE SAME
A transparent article is described herein that includes: a glass-ceramic substrate comprising first and second primary surfaces opposing one another and a crystallinity of at least 40% by weight; and an optical film structure disposed on the first primary surface. The optical film structure comprises a plurality of alternating high refractive index (RI) and low RI layers and a scratch-resistant layer. The article also exhibits an average photopic transmittance of greater than 80% and a maximum hardness of greater than 10 GPa, as measured by a Berkovich Hardness Test over an indentation depth range from about 100 nm to about 500 nm. The glass-ceramic substrate comprises an elastic modulus of greater than 85 GPa and a fracture toughness of greater than 0.8 MPa.Math.m. Further, the optical film structure exhibits a residual compressive stress of 700 MPa and an elastic modulus of 140 GPa.
