UTENSIL CLEANING DEVICE AND METHOD
A knife cleaner for a commercial kitchen is mounted on a countertop or prep table with suction cups or similar devices, and provides three separate compartments for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing solutions. A removable cap provides a channel guide leading downward into each of the three compartments. The wash channel guide provides scrub brush components to remove food particles and other debris. The cleaner is disassembled easily without tools for cleaning purposes.
Glassware and silverware steamer
A device for steaming utensils such as silverware and glassware includes a frame having side and bottom walls. The frame has an open upper end. A heating chamber containing at least one heating device is connected with and depends from the frame bottom wall. A fluid reservoir is arranged within the frame and rests on the frame bottom wall. When fluid such as water is arranged in the reservoir and the heating device is operated, the water is heated to generate steam which exits the frame open upper end. One or more racks containing the utensils to be steamed are arranged on the device. The steam cleans the utensils for subsequent polishing.
Dosing unit, water bearing household appliance and method
A dosing unit for use in an automatic dosing system of a water-bearing household appliance, for automatically dosing a dosing amount of a solid detergent, the dosing unit comprising a dosing cartridge for storing a bulk of the solid detergent and a dosing device for separating the dosing amount from the bulk and releasing the separated dosing amount by linearly displacing a sliding element from a separating position to a release position, wherein the dosing device includes a dosing channel, wherein, when the sliding element is in the separating position, the dosing channel is configured for receiving at least the dosing amount from the bulk and intermediately storing the dosing amount in a pre-dosing position, and, when the sliding element is in the release position, the dosing device is configured for releasing the dosing amount intermediately stored in the pre-dosing position.

WAREWASHER WITH HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM
A warewash machine includes a chamber for receiving wares, the chamber having at least one wash zone. A refrigerant medium circuit includes a first condenser and a second condenser, the first condenser located upstream of the second condenser in the refrigerant circuit. The refrigerant medium circuit includes a first flow path through the first condenser and a second flow path in bypass of the first condenser, and a valve for selectively controlling whether at least some refrigerant medium flows along the first flow path or the second flow path.
WAREWASHER WITH HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM
A warewash machine includes a chamber for receiving wares, the chamber having at least one wash zone. A refrigerant medium circuit includes a first heat exchanger arranged to deliver refrigerant medium heat to a first fluid and a second heat exchanger arranged to provide a heat exchange relationship between the refrigerant medium and a second fluid, the first heat exchanger located upstream of the second heat exchanger in the refrigerant medium circuit. A bypass arrangement for causing at least some refrigerant medium to selectively bypass at least one of the first condenser or the second condenser based upon subcooled refrigerant medium condition.
Dishwasher with low-temperature final washing
A method and apparatus for cleaning washware, in particular dishes, is provided. In the process, the washware is subjected to at least one wash process in which adhering dirt is at least largely removed. The washware is then subjected to a final-washing process which has at least two substeps. The washware is acted on by a first rinse liquid in a first substep, with the first rinse liquid containing a disinfectant. The washware is acted on by a second rinse liquid in a subsequent second substep, with the second rinse liquid comprising at least one permeate which is produced by reverse osmosis.
Household appliance
The invention concerns a household appliance, the household appliance comprising: a washing chamber for washing of items to be cleaned; a water system configured to feed water to and from the washing chamber for cleaning and/or rinsing of the items therein; wherein the water system comprises a UV-treatment chamber for disinfection and/or sterilization of water to be fed to the washing chamber during operation of the household appliance, wherein the UV-treatment chamber is provided with at least a first UV-light source arranged to direct UV-light towards water present in the UV-treatment chamber. The UV-treatment chamber is further provided with at least a first UV-light reflector. The invention also concerns a method for operating a household appliance.
