A detection device includes (a) a LiDAR sensing device and (b) a housing enclosing the LiDAR sensing device, the housing including at least one cover lens. At least a portion of the cover lens is made of at least one glass sheet having an absorption coefficient lower than 5 m.sup.−1 in the wavelength range from 750 to 1650 nm. The cover lens helps to protect the LiDAR sensing device from external degradation.
Microfabrication method
A microfabrication method is provided with which it is possible to easily form a fine periodic structure on a surface of any substrate. A glass precursor is applied to a substrate, and the glass precursor is irradiated with short-pulse laser light. By the irradiation with short-pulse laser light, the glass precursor is activated to undergo a thermal reaction, and a fine periodic structure can be easily formed on the surface. Furthermore, by oxidizing the substrate on which the fine periodic structure has been formed, the hue of the surface can be improved while maintaining the fine periodic structure.
LOW REFLECTION COATING, GLASS PLATE, GLASS SUBSTRATE AND PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERSION DEVICE
The low-reflection coating of the present invention is adapted to be provided on at least one principal surface of a substrate. The low-reflection coating is a porous film having a thickness of 80 to 800 nm, the porous film including: fine silica particles being solid and spherical and having an average particle diameter of 80 to 600 nm; and a binder containing silica as a main component and containing a hydrophobic group, the fine silica particles being bound by the binder. The low-reflection coating contains 35 to 70 mass % of the fine silica particles, 25 to 64 mass % of the silica of the binder, and 0.2 to 10 mass % of the hydrophobic group of the binder. The low-reflection coating produces a transmittance gain of 1.5% or more when provided on the substrate.

The coated glass article includes a glass body having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, wherein the first surface is an exterior surface of the glass body, and a damage-resistant coating formed by atomic layer deposition, the damage-resistant coating being disposed on at least a portion of the first surface of the glass body.
Glass sheet coated with a stack of thin layers and an with an enamel layer
A material includes a glass sheet coated on at least part of one of its faces with a stack of thin layers, the stack being coated on at least part of its surface with an enamel layer including zinc and less than 5% by weight of bismuth oxide, the stack further including, in contact with the enamel layer, a layer, called contact layer, which is based on an oxide, the physical thickness of the contact layer being at least 5 nm.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COATING LAYER COATED ONTO THE INNER SURFACE OF A CONTAINER AND A CONTAINER OBTAINED WITH SUCH A METHOD
A method for producing a layer for coating the inner surface of a container and a glass or plastic container obtained by said method, wherein said container is suitable for containing products biocompatible with humans and/or animals. The method includes: forming a solution containing a solvent, water, a molecular precursor comprising alkoxy groups and an acid as a catalyst, mixing said solution to initiate hydrolysis and condensation, applying the resulting solution onto at least one portion of the inner surface of the container, while the solution is in the process of gelling, the resulting applied solution is then dried at a temperature for a predetermined time, before curing. The acid is citric acid, wherein said citric acid is at a concentration of less than 6 mol/l, and in that the solution comprises less than 1.5 units of precursor for each volume unit of acid.
Method for Reducing or Preventing the Degradation of an Antifouling Layer or an Optical Article
The invention concerns a method for producing an optical article suitable for edging comprising an antifouling layer on which there is deposited a temporary overlayer for assisting with edging, comprising: depositing, on an optical substrate, an organic antifouling layer comprising at least a fluorinated polymer compound comprising hydrolysable functions; and depositing, on the antifouling layer, an overlayer for assisting with edging, of mineral nature, comprising one or more metal fluorides and/or one or more metal oxides or hydroxides;
method characterised in that it further comprises a step of accelerated grafting of the antifouling layer chosen from:
(a) a treatment of the deposited antifouling layer in a humid atmosphere of the deposited antifouling layer and
(b) a catalytic treatment in the acidic or basic vapour phase of the deposited antifouling layer.
MANUFACTURING OF SUBSTRATES COATED WITH A CONDUCTIVE LAYER
