DRAIN TANK CLEANING SYSTEM FOR AN APPLIANCE
20240181506 · 2024-06-06 ·

A drain control system receives a first indicator of start of a cleaning cycle. In response to receipt of the first indicator, a signal is sent to turn on a drain pump mounted within a drain tank to evacuate a fluid stored in the drain tank when the drain tank is not indicated as empty. A second indicator is received that a cleaning fluid has been provided to a storage tank. After the drain tank is indicated as empty, circulation of the cleaning fluid is controlled within a drain system. The drain system drains the cleaning fluid into the drain tank after circulating within the drain system. The drain pump is controlled to turn on to evacuate the cleaning fluid from the drain tank based on a fluid level indicator generated by a fluid level sensor after the cleaning fluid drains into the drain tank.

WATER DISINFECTION BODY FOR USE IN A WATER RESERVOIR

The present invention relates to an electrolysis body suitable for water disinfection for use in a water reservoir having a definite internal volume comprising a) a pair of electrodes made of a conductive material suitable for providing electrolysis, b) means for applying current to the electrodes, c) an insert unit having a first side and a second side opposite each other, wherein the first side faces out of the water reservoir when the insert unit is placed in position in the water reservoir in use for water disinfection and the second side faces into the volume of the water reservoir when placed in position in the water reservoir in use for water disinfection, and d) optionally a filter unit extending from the second side of the insert unit. The present invention also concerns a water reservoir comprising the body, as well as a washing system comprising the water reservoir.

Household appliance and method

The present invention relates to a method of handling process water in a household appliance (1) and to a household appliance, for example a dish washer. The household appliance comprises a wash tub (3) for performing wash program cycles and a tank (5) for storing process water to be re-used in a following program cycle, the method comprising the steps of: determining (101) the type of detergent used in the household appliance with a sensor unit (7), measuring (102) the amount of detergent in the process water with the sensor unit, comparing (105) at least one sensor unit output value with a predetermined threshold value to define the quality of the process water, and storing (106) at least a part of the process water from a rinse cycle in the tank (5) when the sensor unit output value complies with the predetermined threshold value related to the quality of the process water.

Dishwasher and method for controlling the same

A dishwasher, in which a reservoir provided with an electrolyzer is connected to a water collector via a flow path change valve, and wash water in the reservoir is electrolyzed by the electrolyzer during non-operation of the wash water, to generate sterilizing water and to circulate the sterilizing water into the dishwasher, thereby achieving an enhancement in sterilizability of the dishwasher. A method for controlling a dishwasher makes it possible to suppress propagation of microorganisms left in the dishwasher and to remove organic substances, using a sterilizing agent or high-temperature water. It is also possible to reduce generation of offensive odor caused by decomposition of bacteria, through a reduction in the amount of bacteria in the dishwasher. Since sterilization of the dishwasher is automatically carried out, enhanced user convenience is provided.
