Provided is a silver-tellurium-coated glass powder including: a tellurium-based glass powder containing tellurium in an amount of 20% by mass or more; and a coating layer on a surface of the tellurium-based glass powder, the coating layer containing silver and tellurium as a main component. Preferable aspects include an aspect where the coating layer containing silver and tellurium as a main component further contains a component that is other than silver and tellurium and contained in the tellurium-based glass powder, and an aspect where the component that is lo other than silver and tellurium and contained in the tellurium-based glass powder contains one or more kinds selected from zinc, lead, bismuth, silicon, lithium, and aluminum.
METHOD OF SIMULTANEOUSLY COATING AND TEMPERING GLASS AT HIGH TEMPERATURE
A method for simultaneously tempering and coating glass, including heating a glass substrate, depositing a textured buffer layer on the glass substrate, depositing a material on the buffer layer, depositing O.sub.2, and rapidly cooling the glass substrate by introducing a gas. This includes coating the glass substrate with crystalline sapphire or a low E film, for example.
VEHICULAR EXTERIOR MEMBER AND FAR-INFRARED CAMERA EQUIPPED VEHICULAR EXTERIOR MEMBER
The present invention aims to provide a vehicular exterior member that is excellent in strength and cost, and sufficiently ensures a viewing field of sharpness of a thermal image obtained by a far-infrared camera. A vehicular exterior member that includes a light blocking region and is configured to be attached to a vehicle equipped with a far-infrared camera. The vehicular exterior member further includes, in the light blocking region, a far-infrared ray transmitting region having an opening and a far-infrared ray transmitting member disposed in the opening. An average transmittance of far-infrared rays having a wavelength ranging from 8 to 13 ?m of the far-infrared ray transmitting member is equal to or larger than 25%. A length of the longest straight line in straight lines connecting any desired two points on a surface on a vehicle exterior side of the far-infrared ray transmitting member is equal to or smaller than 80 mm. A diameter of the largest circle in circles formed in a projected shape obtained by projecting the far-infrared ray transmitting member in an optical axis direction of the far-infrared camera is equal to or larger than 12 mm. An average thickness of the far-infrared ray transmitting member is equal to or larger than 1.5 mm.
Low-e coated architectural glass having high selectivity
The presently claimed invention relates to a low-e coating (20) applied onto a glass (10), in order to provide neutrality at first sight from inside and outside of automotive and architectural glasses.
Black-coloured article
A black-colored article which is not a photovoltaic device. The device includes a substantially transparent substrate; a substantially transparent textured layer provided upon a first surface of the substrate, the textured layer having a textured surface oriented away from the substrate; and an absorption layer including a silicon-germanium alloy, the absorption layer being situated upon the textured surface of the textured layer.
SYNTHETIC QUARTZ GLASS LID PRECURSOR, SYNTHETIC QUARTZ GLASS LID, AND PREPARATION METHODS THEREOF
A synthetic quartz glass lid for use in optical device packages is prepared by furnishing a synthetic quartz glass lid precursor comprising a synthetic quartz glass substrate (1) and a metal or metal compound film (2), and forming a metal base adhesive layer (3) on the metal or metal compound film (2). The metal or metal compound film contains Ag, Bi, and at least one element selected from P, Sb, Sn and In.
DECORATIVE GLASS PANEL
The invention relates to an almost opaque decorative glass panel comprising a substrate made of a vitreous material bearing a multilayer stack including at least one light-absorbing functional layer and transparent dielectric coatings such that the light-absorbing functional layer is enclosed between dielectric coatings. The light-absorbing functional layer has a geometric thickness comprised between 25 and 140 nm, and an extinction coefficient k of at least 1.8. The multilayer stack in addition comprises at least one attenuating layer placed between the substrate and the light-absorbing functional layer, having a thickness comprised between 1 and 50 nm, having a refractive index n higher than 1 and an extinction coefficient k of at least 0.5. Furthermore, a transparent dielectric coating the optical thickness of which is comprised between 30 and 160 nm, and the refractive index n of which is higher than 1.5, is placed adjacent to the attenuating layer on the side opposite the light-absorbing functional layer. The invention provides a decorative panel offering a pleasant aesthetic effect.
RADIATION CURABLE ADHESIVES FOR REFLECTIVE LAMINATED SOLAR PANELS, LAMINATED SOLAR PANELS INCLUDING RADIATION CURABLE ADHESIVES, AND/OR ASSOCIATED METHODS
Certain example embodiments relate to techniques for creating flat laminated mirrors, e.g., for use in concentrating solar power (CSP) applications. In certain example embodiments, the first substrate is a low iron glass substrate. A reflective coating is provided between the first and second substrates. The first and second substrates are laminated together via a radiation curable laminating adhesive with the reflective coating between the substrates. In certain example embodiments the radiation curable laminating adhesive is cured via UV radiation in order to form a laminated reflective article.
Glass container coating and surface treatment process
A glass container that includes a microwave susceptor coating on an exterior surface thereof, and a process for healing flaws in an exterior portion of the glass container. When the glass container is exposed to microwave radiation, the microwave susceptor coating generates heat and selectively and locally provides a major portion of such heat to regions of glass in the exterior portion of the glass container that are in close proximity to the flaws. These regions of glass in the exterior portion of the glass container may be selectively and locally heated so that the glass therein can flow and thereby fill-in the flaws in the exterior portion of the glass container. This process can be used to heal flaws in an exterior portion of a glass container without impairing the structural integrity of the glass container.
LAYERED PRODUCT
A layered product includes a substrate including a first surface and second surface that face each other, wherein the layered product includes a metal film on the first surface of the substrate, wherein gaps are dispersed between the substrate and the metal film, the gaps optically affecting light in a visible light region, wherein, when the layered product is measured from the second surface of the substrate, an absorption ratio with respect to visible light, the absorption ratio being an average value in a range of wavelength from 400 nm to 700 nm, is greater than or equal to 50%, reflectance, the reflectance being an average value in a range of wavelength from 400 nm to 700 nm, is less than or equal to 40%, and brightness L* of a D65 light source in a visual field of 10 degrees is less than or equal to 70.
