A glass substrate unit includes a glass substrate and a glass deformation device for deforming the glass substrate. The glass substrate includes a thin portion and a thick portion, the thin portion having a first main surface and a second main surface opposite to the first main surface, the thick portion having a first main surface and a second main surface opposite to the first main surface and having a sheet thickness larger than a sheet thickness of the thin portion. The glass deformation device deforms the glass substrate by moving one of the thin portion and the thick portion.
GLASS ETCHING PREPARATION METHOD AND SYSTEM
A method of preparing glass for etching includes providing a section of the glass and printing a mask directly on to the section of the glass by depositing ink with a printer. A printing system for preparing a section of the glass for etching includes a printer configured to print a mask directly on to the section of the glass by depositing ink on to the section of the glass. A glass etching system includes a printing system for preparing a section of the glass for etching and an etching bath for receiving the section of the glass and for exposing at least a portion of the section of the glass to an etching solution in order to remove colouring from the section of the glass in areas not covered by the mask.
COVER MEMBER
The present invention relates to a cover member including a transparent base having first and second main surfaces, an antifouling layer formed on at least a part of the first main surface, a printed layer formed on at least a part of the second main surface, and an adhered member adhered on an antifouling layer-side surface, in which when an adhered-member-contact-portion projected region is defined as a prescribed region in the second main surface, the printed layer is provided on at least a part of a near-boundary region defined as a region from a boundary of the adhered-member-contact-portion projected region to an inward at 1,000 μm from the boundary, and no printed layer is provided on at least a part of an inner region defined as a region 500 μm or more inside from the boundary of the adhered-member-contact-portion projected region.
Coating composition and cooking appliance
A coating composition includes phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5), aluminum oxide (Al2O3), boron trioxide (B2O3), zinc oxide (ZnO), I group-based metal oxide, and II group-based metal oxide. The coating composition includes by weight based on a total weight of the coating composition 35 to 55% P.sub.2O.sub.5, 5 to 35% Al.sub.2O.sub.3, 5 to 40% I group-based metal oxide, 5 to 10% B.sub.2O.sub.3, 1 to 5% ZnO, and 1 to 10% II group-based metal oxide.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A SPECTACLE LENS
A method for manufacturing a spectacle lens having a lens substrate and at least one coating is disclosed. The method includes providing a lens substrate having an uncoated or precoated front surface and an uncoated or precoated back surface, applying at least one coating to at least one of the surfaces of the lens substrate, the surface of the at least one coating being modifiable when contacted with at least one medium able to modify the surface of the at least one coating, contacting the surface of the at least one coating, partially or completely, with the at least one medium, considering the individual peripheral refraction, obtaining the spectacle lens having the lens substrate and the at least one coating, the surface of the at least one coating being modified according to the individual peripheral refraction.
SCRATCH-RESISTANT COATING FOR GLASS CERAMIC COOKTOP
Scratch-resistant coatings, especially for cooktops, and substrates or products having said scratch-resistant coatings and methods for the production thereof are described herein. More particularly, scratch-resistant coatings obtained via sol-gel approach and coated substrates having thereon a hard material layer comprising metal nitride(s) and/or metal oxynitride complexes are described, as well as the manufacturing thereof.
GLASS OR GLASS CERAMIC ELEMENT COMPRISING GLASS OR GLASS CERAMIC SUBSTRATE AND COATING, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME AND USE THEREOF
A glass or glass ceramic element for household and/or heating appliances is provided. The element includes a transparent glass or glass ceramic substrate and a coating. The substrate has a main surface. The coating is on at least a portion of the main surface. The coating is a glass-based coating that includes a pigment and a filler. The pigment includes an IR-reflecting material and the filler has a specific molar heat capacity of not more than 5 mJ/(mol.Math.K).
AUTOMOTIVE GLAZING HAVING SUPERIOR OPTICAL QUALITY
