Use of recycled wash and rinse water for the pre-rinse operation of dishes
09603501 · 2017-03-28 · ·

A dishwashing machine is used for pre-rinse operation of soiled dishes. A cavity is configured and arranged to contain the soiled dishes. A nozzle is proximate the cavity and is in fluid communication with the cavity. An accumulator pan accumulates wash and rinse water including cleaning chemicals used in a previous cycle of the dishwashing machine. A fluid passageway interconnects the nozzle and the accumulator pan. A pump directs the accumulated wash and rinse water from the accumulator pan to the nozzle via the fluid passageway for pre-rinse operation of the soiled dishes in the cavity, and the nozzle directs the accumulated wash and rinse water into the cavity with the soiled dishes to assist in removing soil from the soiled dishes prior to a wash cycle of the dishwashing machine. The wash cycle utilizes fresh wash water.

DISHWASHER IN THE FORM OF A COMMERCIAL UTENSIL WASHER OR DISHWASHER WHICH IS DESIGNED AS A BATCH DISHWASHER

The invention relates to a dishwasher in the form of a commercial utensil washer or dishwasher which is designed as a batch dishwasher and is realized as a hood-type dishwasher, wherein the dishwasher has a treatment chamber with at least one wash system which is designed as a recirculation system, wherein the treatment chamber has a first treatment zone and at least one further, second treatment zone, wherein items of washware can be treated independently of one another and at least temporarily at the same time in the first and in the at least one second treatment zone.

VAPOR REMOVAL SYSTEM

An apparatus for the evacuation of warm, moist air or vapor from a dishwasher cabinet or other washing machine interior. A centrifugal fan draws the hot air and water vapor out of the washing cavity through a flue riser and discharges it into a cooling chamber with one or more cooling spray nozzles. The cooling spray nozzles spray a fine mist of cold water into the stream of heated air and vapor, and may spray at angle to the flow of the stream of heated air and vapor. As the heated air and vapor from the dishwasher and the cooling spray mix, heat is transferred from the heated air and vapor to the cold water or mist being sprayed into the air stream. This reduces the temperature of the vapors and air that was extracted from the dishwasher. As the temperature is reduced, the water vapors condense and form droplets which accumulate on the sides and bottom of the cooling flue. This reduced temperature and moisture air is then discharged to the room at an opening, which may be located slightly above the bottom of the flue cabinet, along with the condensate.

ACID FORMULATIONS FOR USE IN A SYSTEM FOR WAREWASHING

Methods of acidic warewashing are disclosed. The compositions can include other materials including surfactants and chelating agents, and are preferably phosphorous free. Methods of using the acidic compositions in combination with alkaline compositions are also disclosed. Exemplary methods include using the acidic compositions together with other compositions, including alkaline compositions and rinse aids employed in an alternating alkaline/acid/alkaline manner. The methods also include acidic compositions that serve multiple roles.

One or more devices for a dish washing machine are disclosed herein. For instance, the dish washing machine may include one or more energy recovery devices configured to transfer heat between components of the dish washing machine. In various embodiments, the present subject matter simplifies maintenance (e.g., cleaning, replacement of parts) and use (e.g., replenishment of detergents, or the like) of dish washing machines (e.g., a dishwasher, or the like).

System for optical wash item recognition in dishwashers, method for optical wash item recognition, dishwasher with an optical wash item recognition system and method for operating such a dishwasher

A system for optical wash item recognition for commercial dishwashers embodied as conveyor dishwashers or as automatic programme dishwashers, in particular hood dishwashers, wherein the system includes an optical recognition system, especially a camera, for recording at least one two-dimensional image of at least some of the wash items to be treated in the dishwasher. The system also includes an analysis device for analysing at least one recorded image in such a way that individual wash items or groups of individual wash items in the recorded image are located and classified. At least one neural network is used to analyse the at least one recorded image.

Warewash machine with tray support system and associated rack track with a tray support

A warewash machine includes a housing at least in part defining a treatment chamber having an access opening, a hood mounted for movement between a closed position for washing and an open position for inlet and outlet of wares through the access opening, at least one nozzle for emitting liquid into the treatment chamber, and a rack track positioned within the treatment chamber for having a dish rack rest thereon. A tray support is mounted for movement relative to the rack track between a lowered position and a raised position, in the lowered position the tray support is at or below a rack support plane defined by the rack track, in the raised position at least part of the tray support is located above the rack support plane. The rack track may be a wire or rod form frame configuration with the tray support mounted thereto.

ELECTROMAGNETIC LOCKING STRUCTURE FOR DISHWASHER HOOD

A dishwasher (100) may include a wash chamber and a hood (310). The wash chamber holds items to be washed. A wash cycle may include a period of time at a predetermined temperature such that items that complete the wash cycle are sterilized. If the hood is opened during a wash cycle, water may escape from the wash chamber and air may enter the wash chamber, interrupting the sterilization of items. An electromagnetic locking structure (500) or a pin (550) locking structure is used to keep the hood closed during the wash cycle. The locking structure prevents the hood from being opened unless an amount of force applied exceeds a predetermined threshold. If the applied force exceeds the predetermined threshold, the hood is opened without being damaged. The electromagnetic locking structure may comprise an electromagnet attached to a body of the dishwasher and an iron ingot (510) attached to the hood.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DISHMACHINE AUTOMATIC PRESCRAPPING

Various examples are directed to systems and methods for dishwasher automatic prescrapping. A method includes monitoring a dishwasher to sense placement of dishware within the dishwasher. Upon sensing placement of the dishware, the method includes circulating, using wash arms of the dishwasher, wash water over the dishware. Using a collection tray, the wash water and soil are collected from the dishware. The collection tray includes a slope configured to direct the wash water and the soil to an external separator. The method further includes automatically separating, within the external separator, the soil from the wash water. The external separator provides removal access of the separated soil. The method also includes directing, by the external separator, the separated wash water to a wash sump tank for recirculation in the dishwasher for subsequent wash cycles.
