Control heat of hydration by characterizing cementitious components
Methods of wellbore cementing are provided. A method of designing a cement composition may include: selecting a target heat of hydration for a target time and temperature; selecting one or more cementitious components and a weight percent for each of the one or more cementitious components such that a sum of a heat of hydration of the one or more cementitious components is less than or equal to the target heat of hydration; preparing the cement composition; and allowing the cement composition to set.
MIXED LANDFILL AND POND COAL COMBUSTION BYPRODUCTS (CCBS) AND RELATED TECHNIQUES
Methods and systems for reclaiming materials from a mixed waste landfill containing coal combustion byproducts (CCBs) are disclosed. The methods and systems can be used to reclaim CCBs from ponds or dry landfills by obtaining mixed waste, crushing the mixed waste to form crushed mixed waste, drying the crushed mixed waste to form dried crushed mixed waste, and combining the dried crushed mixed waste with other compounds to form a blend. The blends can then be incorporated into a cement material, which may be used to form concrete.

Plate, in particular covering plate for molten metal, and method for producing the plate and use thereof
A heat insulating plate (1), preferably a covering plate (5a;b), especially for thermal isolation of molten metal, especially of molten steel, in a metallurgical vessel (6), wherein the plate (3) includes a binding agent matrix (2) of at least one, set, temporary, organic binding material and aggregate grains (3) with and/or of biogenic silicic acid, preferably with and/or of rice husk ash, which grains (3) are incorporated into the binding agent matrix (2), and to a method for production of the plate (1) and its use.
Cement additive and method for producing same
The present invention relates to a cement additive and a method for producing same, wherein carcinogens, including heavy metals such as hexavalent chromium and the like, generated from cement are removed while maintaining the strength and characteristic physical properties of cement. Moreover, the cement additive according to the present invention can provide cement that does not become oxidized by heat into hexavalent chromium.
