A dishwasher utilizes multiple rack-mounted corner sprayers disposed in corners defined between a side wall and front and rear walls of a dishwasher rack to direct fluid inwardly from the corners to wash utensils supported by the rack. The corner sprayers are in fluid communication with one another by a fluid channel that extends along the side wall of the rack, and an inlet port coupled to the first corner sprayer conveys fluid to each of the corner sprayers.

At least one intensive washing zone for intensively washing the washware in the washing chamber is determined in response to the captured optical sensor signal, and a drive facility is actuated to drive a spraying facility for spraying the washware with washing liquid, such that the determined at least one intensive washing zone is embodied by the spraying facility.

The controller orients the at least one robot arm based on the dimension and/or shape determined by the at least one sensor.
