Natural plant fibre reinforced concrete
A composite material and process for forming composite material. The composite material comprises a quantity of plastinated plant distributed within a matrix material. The process comprises separating a plant material into plant fibers plastinating the plant fibers and combining the plastinated plant fibers with a matrix material. The plant fibers may be selected form the group consisting of bamboo, hemp and flax. The plant fibers may be formed by crushing a portion of a plant. The matrix material may comprise Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). The PET may be shredded and heated. The heated composite material may be formed into rebar and be arranged in a pattern within a concrete slurry.

EXPANSION AGENTS FOR CEMENT COMPOSITIONS
Expansive cement compositions for use in subterranean wellbores that include a monophase amorphous hydraulic binder material (MAHBM). The MAHBM may include a plurality of particles having a silica core and an amorphous coating substantially surrounding the silica core. The coating may comprise, for example, a plurality of amorphous α-dicalcium silicate hydrate nanoparticles or microparticles. The MAHBM may be used as an expansion agent in a cement composition or used as an expansive cement by itself.

Composition Having Plasma-treated Silicon Carbide, Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene and Carbon Nanotube Fibers
The invention relates to processes for making improved ultra-high performance concrete with plasma-treated inclusions and articles made from the same. The invention includes a process for producing silicon carbide and multiwalled carbon nanotubes by heating agricultural waste husks in an inert atmosphere to a temperature higher than 1300 degrees C. to obtain a mixture containing silicon carbide and MWCNTs, and treating the mixture to extract the silicon carbide and MWCNTs for use as microinclusions in ultra high performance concrete.
CEMENT-BASED CALCINED BOARD-SHAPED CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
An object of the present invention is to obtain a cement-based calcined board-shaped construction material having improved impact resistance.
The cement-based calcined board-shaped construction material of the present invention is characterized by being produced by adding 0.5 to 5 wt % of a ceramic inorganic fiber and/or a mineral inorganic fiber to 100 wt % of a compound comprising 5 to 40 wt % of Portland cement, 5 to 30 wt % of a glass powder, and a remainder occupied by a refractory aggregate mainly composed of a silica-alumina refractory raw material, kneading the resulting material, then shaping the kneaded material into an elongated board shape by extrusion, and subsequently calcining the shaped material.
Also, it is the cement-based calcined board-shaped construction material which is produced by sticking a glass fiber sheet to the rear side of the cement-based calcined board-shaped construction material.

BUILDING MATERIALS COMPRISING AGGLOMERATED PARTICLES
Roofing granules comprising agglomerated inorganic material, and building materials, such as shingles, that include such roofing granules. By fabricating roofing granules from agglomerating inorganic material it is possible to tailor the particle size distribution so as to provide optimal shingle surface coverage, thus reducing shingle weight and usage of raw materials. Additionally, the use of agglomeration permits the utilization of by-products from conventional granule production processes.
