11358902 · 2022-06-14 · ·

The present description relates to a method of producing a wet-cast slag-based concrete product particularly where the wet-cast slag-based concrete product is partially or completely set inside a mould, pre-conditioned outside of the mould and then cured with carbon dioxide in a curing chamber. The wet-cast slag-based concrete product is optionally reinforced.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A CONCRETE FORMULATED ON THE BASIS OF ACTIVATED SLAG

Method for manufacturing a concrete from activated slag, comprising at least the steps consisting of: a) arranging a premixture P of water and granulates, the temperature of the premixture P being at least equal to 10° C., b) arranging an activation system A comprising at least a co-binder, a chelating agent, an alkali metal carbonate and a carbonated material different from the alkali metal carbonate, c) incorporating the activation system A and a slag S by mixing them into the premixture P, the activation system A and slag S being introduced successively and/or simultaneously, d) continuing the mixing until a fresh concrete is obtained, and e) allowing the fresh concrete to cure.

Masonry material utilizing recycled construction and demolition waste

The embodiments herein are directed to dry wall waste mixtures, formed under pressure into example embodiments referred to herein as dry wall waste blocks (DWBs) and/or gypsum wallboard waste blocks (GWWBs) and tile structures. DWBs/GWWBs mixtures in particular, often incorporate a higher percentage in the composite mixtures from about 60% up to 85% of dry wall waste than other mixtures and beneficially often incorporates substantially all of the wallboard facing paper as part of the composite mixture. That is, waste processing is simplified by comingling core and paper layers in the final product. DWBs/GWWBs mixtures utilize demolition and construction waste, replacing a high percentage of Portland cement with waste-derived binder.

Concrete structure strengthened using grid reinforcement material and non-shrink grout and method of strengthening the same

The present disclosure provides a concrete structure strengthened using a grid reinforcement material and non-shrink grout and a method of strengthening the same in which, when strengthening a concrete structure such as a concrete slab or a concrete wall body that is damaged or deteriorated, a grid reinforcement material is mounted on one side of the concrete structure, a formwork is formed on an outer side of the grid reinforcement material to have a required gap, and then the gap is filled with non-shrink grout so that the non-shrink grout is cured therein to strengthen the old concrete structure, thereby being able to automatically fill and repair cracks formed in the concrete structure just by injecting the non-shrink grout without separately performing crack repair on the old concrete structure. Also, the grid reinforcement material may be easily fixed or mounted using a grid fixing device and may be easily applied to strengthening of a concrete structure having a curved surface as well as a concrete structure having a flat surface such as a concrete slab or a concrete wall body. In addition, reinforcing bars may be additionally arranged in a gap between a surface of the concrete structure and the grid reinforcement material so that the grid reinforcement material increases a cover thickness, and thus the concrete structure is remarkably strengthened.

CARBONIZED BRICK OF RECYCLED CONCRETE POWDERS AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

A carbonized brick of recycled concrete powders and a preparation method thereof are provided, belonging to the field of concrete materials. The preparation method includes: adding composition A to a liquid storage tank; introducing composition B into the liquid storage tank to react with a solid waste solution to generate calcium bicarbonate solution; filling recycled powders into a molding die, decomposing the calcium bicarbonate solution by heat, reacting generated carbon dioxide with calcium ions leached from a C—S—H gel in the recycled powders to produce calcium carbonate, and precipitating, crystallizing and cementing in the molding die together with calcium carbonate produced by decomposing calcium bicarbonate solution, and resulting in strength of the recycled powders.

A method of manufacturing a concrete product includes mixing a composition including a binder, an aggregate, and water to produce a concrete mixture, and imparting a form to the concrete mixture to provide a formed intermediate. The formed intermediate is carbon cured to obtain a cured intermediate. A post-hardening treatment to the cured intermediate is done by exposing the cured intermediate to a temperature above an ambient temperature to obtain the concrete product.
