Dishwasher with heat pump
The present disclosure relates to a dishwasher having a heat pump, including a dishwasher body provided with a tub configured with a washing space therein and a sump provided at a bottom of the tub to temporarily accommodate washing water; a washing water storage unit provided in the dishwasher body to store washing water therein; a heat pump having a compressor, an evaporator, an expansion apparatus, and a condenser provided to exchange heat with the washing water of the washing water storage unit; and a controller that controls the heat pump to increase the temperature of the washing water of the washing water storage unit. As a result, a heating time of washing water may be shortened, thereby suppressing a time required for washing dishes from being prolonged.
Dishwasher appliance main conduit with pressure relief hole
A dishwasher appliance includes a tub that defines a wash chamber for receipt of articles for washing. The dishwasher appliance also includes a lower spray assembly located in the wash chamber and configured to direct a spray of fluid into the wash chamber. The dishwasher appliance further includes an upper spray assembly located in the wash chamber above the lower spray assembly along the vertical direction. The upper spray assembly is configured to direct a spray of fluid into the wash chamber. A sump is positioned at a bottom of the wash chamber for receiving fluid from the wash chamber. The dishwasher appliance further includes a pump in fluid communication with the sump. The pump is configured to draw fluid from the sump. A main conduit extends between the pump and the upper spray assembly. The main conduit includes an upper end and a hole defined in the upper end.
WATER FEED TUBE FOR DISHWASHER WITH INTEGRATED RETAINER
A water feed tube assembly for a dishwasher with a water feed tube having one or more inlets and outlets and front, back, and side walls. At least one outlet is positioned on the front wall of the water feed tube. The water feed tube includes a manifold docking retainer that is integral with the water feed tube at a position adjacent to the outlet. The manifold docking retainer includes first and second ears that are positioned on and extend integrally from the side walls of the water feed tube such that the first and second ears of the manifold docking retainer are configured to receive first and second docking arms of a spray arm manifold. The manifold docking retainer includes first and second knobs that are positioned on and extend integrally from the front wall of the water feed tube to mate with the spray arm manifold.
Domestic dishwasher comprising a tank assembly
A household dishwasher includes a receiving area for receiving an item to be washed, and a tank assembly receiving dishwashing fluid. The tank assembly includes a first tank section with an inlet, via which the tank assembly can be supplied with dishwashing fluid, and a second tank section with an outlet, via which dishwashing fluid in the tank assembly is able to exit the tank assembly. The first and second tank sections are fluidically connected together and arranged fluidically in series such that dishwashing fluid in the first tank section is displaced into the second tank section when additional dishwashing fluid is introduced into the first tank section via the inlet.
Laundry treating apparatus and control method for the same
A laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet with first and second cabinet doors. A first washing apparatus processes laundry that is placed through the first cabinet door at the front. A second washing apparatus processes laundry that is placed through the second cabinet door at the top. The second washing apparatus includes: a tub that holds water and has an opening at a top that is accessible through the second opening of the cabinet; a tub cover that covers the top of the tub and defines an inlet through which the tub is accessible; a tub door on the tub cover that opens or closes the inlet of the tub cover separately from the second cabinet door opening or closing the second opening; a drum inside the tub configured to rotate about a vertical shaft; and a first sensor that generates a signal based on the tub door being open.
Throttle plate
An apparatus and method of restricting entry velocity into a tank is provided. To this end, a throttle plate is utilized to reduce circulation turbulence and significantly reduce the probability of damage to fragile articles undergoing deglazing, defrosting, washing or other circulation within a fluid tank. The throttle plate includes a main body with a top, bottom, and opposing sides and is configured to interface with a wash tank in a variety of throttle plate conditions. The main body of the throttle plate sits substantially against an interior wall of the wash tank, partially obscuring one or more inward flowing jets associated with the wash tank. Such obscuring dampens or throttles the flow of water from the jets into the wash tank. The throttle plate is adjustable; thus, a user of the wash tank can utilize the throttle plate to selectively control the flow of water into the tank.
DISHWASHER AND SILVERWARE BASKET THEREOF
A dishwasher or silverware basket, as provided herein, may include a unitary first base wall, first sidewall, second base wall, second sidewall, transverse rail, and handle. The first base wall may be disposed at a bottom container end. The first sidewall may extend vertically from the first base wall and define a first container volume with the first base wall. The second base wall may be disposed at the bottom container end and transversely spaced apart from the first base wall. The second sidewall may extend vertically from the second base wall and define a second container volume with the second base wall. The transverse rail may extend from the first sidewall to the second sidewall The handle may extend between the container volumes and have a first transverse edge proximal to the first container volume and a second transverse edge proximal to the second container volume.
DISHWASHER
The present disclosure relates to a dishwasher for washing the dishes and the cooking utensils by spraying washing water and steam. The dishwasher according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a tub which accommodates a washing object, a sump which is disposed in a bottom of the tub and stores washing water, a spray arm which sprays the washing water into the tub, a washing pump which sends the washing water stored in the sump to the spray arm, and a check valve which is disposed between the sump and the washing pump and opened in a direction of the washing pump from the sump.
WATER DISPENSING DEVICE FOR A WASHING APPLIANCE
A water dispensing device for a washing appliance has a body and a lid defining an internal cavity and, within the internal cavity, a flow conduit for water from an inlet to an outlet. On the flow conduit an air-break is provided. One or more non-return valves are arranged on the flow conduit within the internal cavity and upstream of the air-break.
Dishwasher
An air jet generator according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: an impeller which applies centrifugal force to washing water flowing in a forward direction; a decompression portion which decreases a pressure of the washing water that flows; an air suction portion which is opened to allow air to flow into the decompression portion; a pressing portion which increases pressure so as to crush the air introduced from the air suction portion; an air tap which has a plurality of holes so as to crush the air contained in the washing water that passed through the pressing portion; and a reverse spray nozzle which sprays the washing water toward the air tap in a reverse direction.
