The present invention relates to a dishwasher in which a blowing part, a heater part, and a absorbent, which constitute a sorption drying device, are arranged between a sump and a rear surface of a base so as to be as close as possible to the rear surface of the base and arranged in a long line in a leftward/rightward direction, such that the sorption drying device may effectively serve as a counterweight for preventing the dishwasher from falling over, and a volume and weight of a weight balance additionally provided may be reduced.
Caustic free low temperature ware wash detergent for reducing scale build-up
Caustic-free detergent compositions are provided. Detergent compositions including an aminocarboxylate, water conditioning agent, non-caustic source of alkalinity and water beneficially do not require the use of additional surfactants and/or polymers to provide suitable detergency and prevent scale build-up on treated surfaces. The detergent compositions are used with a sanitizer to employ the caustic-free detergent compositions are particularly suitable for use as low temperature ware wash detergents that beneficially reduce scale build-up. Methods of employing the caustic-free detergent compositions are also provided.
Treating hard water using an acid salt-regenerated ion exchange resin
Methods and systems for acid regeneration of ion exchange resins are disclosed. Acid resins designed for use in a variety of cleaning application using a water source use a treated, softened, acidic water source according to the invention. Various methods of using the softened acidic water generated by acid regenerate-able ion exchange resins are disclosed to beneficially reduce spotting, filming and scale buildup on treated surfaces, reduce and/or eliminate the need for polymers, threshold reagents and/or rinse aids, and using protons generated in the acidic water effluent for triggering events useful in various cleaning applications.
System and method for determining presence of water softener
An appliance, system, and method for operating an appliance and determining presence of water softener at water provided to an appliance is provided. The system is configured to obtain a first water hardness value; obtain a second water hardness value based on a location of the appliance; determine a ratio of the first water hardness value and the second water hardness value; compare the ratio of the first water hardness value and the second water hardness value to a threshold limit; transmit a first water hardness signal when the threshold limit is exceeded, wherein the first water hardness signal corresponds to the first water hardness value; transmit, to the database storage device, a second water hardness signal when the ratio is within the threshold limit; and adjust operation of the appliance based on whether the first water hardness signal or the second water hardness signal is transmitted.

A dishwasher including: a cleaning chamber; a water tank which stores water in order to supply water to the cleaning chamber; a water softener which is connected to the water tank and to which a filter is mountable; and a regenerator which is connected to the water softener in order to regenerate the filter while the filter is mounted to the water softener, wherein the water tank comprises a softened water chamber that is supplied with water that has been softened in the water softener and stores same, and a recycled water chamber which receives softened water from the softened water chamber and is connected to the regenerator in order to supply water to the regenerator.
