A personal dishwasher washes and dries a dish that is manually or mechanically moved through a dishwasher chamber or is manually placed in and manually removed from the chamber. Pressurized water, possibly containing soap, wetting agent, etc., may be added to the wash water. Steam may be used to for cleaning and/or disinfecting. Ultraviolet light may be used for disinfecting. The dishwasher chamber may be enlarged to pass larger dishes, bowls, glassware, etc. for washing. A method of washing dishes, comprising inserting a dish manually into a dishwasher, passing the dish through the dishwasher, and withdrawing the dish. A method of washing a dish, comprising inserting a single dish into a dishwasher, directing fluid under pressure at the dish, directing air flow at the dish, and withdrawing the dish.

The dishwasher includes a washing tub to form a dish receiving space; a sump disposed at a lower side of the washing tub; a heater which heats washing water received in the sump to generate a stream; a dish rack disposed inside the washing tub so that a plurality of dishes are inserted and stand; and a steam nozzle disposed in a direction facing edges of the plurality of dishes to flow the stream between gaps of the dishes inserted into the dish rack.

Device and Apparatus

The present invention relates to a device. The device is for cleaning a receptacle that is at least partly open-ended at one end and having an interior space defined by an interior wall. The device is capable of cleaning at least a part of the interior wall of the receptacle. The device has a receiving component for receiving and holding the receptacle to allow for the cleaning of at least the part of the interior wall of the receptacle. The device also has a cleaning component that is capable of cleaning at least part of the interior wall of the receptacle interior wherein the cleaning component comprises a cleaning element that is locatable within the interior space of the receptacle when the receptacle is held by the receiving component.

A thermal cleaning and disinfecting device for cleaning and disinfecting items, comprising a washing chamber; a circulating pump for circulating a cleaning and disinfecting liquid; a plurality of orifices in the washing chamber for applying the cleaning and disinfecting liquid to the items; a control device; and a heating system for heating the cleaning and disinfecting liquid, which comprises a steam generator and a heat transfer device. The heat transfer device receives steam generated by the steam generator and the cleaning and disinfecting liquid circulated by the circulating pump, wherein the steam and the cleaning and disinfecting liquid mix, such that the steam condensates and transfers heat to the cleaning and disinfecting liquid. A corresponding method for heating the cleaning and disinfecting liquid by steam is also described.
