DISHWASHER AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a dishwasher for washing the dishes and the cooking utensils by spraying washing water, and a control method thereof. The control method of a dishwasher according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a water supply step of opening a water supply valve to supply washing water to the sump; and a variable spray step of spraying the washing water by at least one of the plurality of spray arms by changing the number of revolutions of the washing pump stepwise, so that the washing water can be sprayed evenly.
PROCESS WATER FLOW DETECTION IN CIRCULATION PUMP
Provided are a method of detecting a change in process water flow of a circulation pump in an appliance for washing and rinsing goods, and an appliance performing the method. An appliance for washing and rinsing goods may be provided including a circulation pump, a sensing arrangement arranged to measure a property indicating torque of the circulation pump, and a controller. The controller may be arranged to average a first set of values of the measured property, thereby creating a first average, average at least a further set of values of the measured property, thereby creating at least one further average, compare the first average with the at least one further average, and to detect change in process water flow of the circulation pump based on a difference between the first average and the at least one further average.
DISHWASHER APPLIANCE HAVING A PRESSURE SENSOR
A dishwasher appliance includes a circulation pump, a pressure sensor upstream of the circulation pump, and a diverter downstream of the circulation pump. A method of circulating fluid includes operating the circulation pump at a first speed less than a target speed for a first amount of time. The method also includes determining a first minimum pressure value based on the first speed and a position of the diverter and monitoring a pressure upstream of the circulation pump with the pressure sensor. The method further includes operating the circulation pump at a second speed greater than the first speed when the monitored pressure continuously exceeds the first minimum pressure value for a second amount of time and determining a second minimum pressure value based on the second speed and the position of the diverter after operating the circulation pump at the second speed for a third amount of time.
DISHWASHER APPLIANCE CONFIGURED FOR FLOOD AND LEAK DETECTION
A dishwasher appliance that includes features for prevention and detection of flood events and leaks without sacrificing performance or efficiency of the dishwasher appliance is provided. Moreover, methods for detecting and preventing such flood events and leaks are also provided.
Dishwashing appliance and methods of operation
A dishwashing appliance, including methods of operation, is provided. The dishwashing appliance may define a vertical direction and include a tub, a base conductivity sensor mounted at a first level within the tub, and an elevated conductivity sensor mounted at a second level within the tub, the second level being higher along the vertical direction than the first level.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATED PARTICULATE EXTRACTION FROM SOLID PARTS
A method and apparatus for automated particulate extraction from solid parts is disclosed herein, which comprises a test tank (42) and a liquid cleaning medium (46) for washing a test part (48). The principle advantages offered by this invention include the ability to verify that the test tank (42) has met a required tank clean threshold (102) as specified by a percentage reduction of contaminants (78) through the use of a liquid quality sensor (76) which repeatedly measures the contamination level of a liquid cleaning medium (46) exiting the test tank (42). Type I and Type II sampling error are eliminated by verifying that the liquid cleaning medium (46) passing from the test tank (42) has measured contaminants (78) reaching both a maximum value (98) and then falling below a specified tank clean threshold (102) prior to ending the cleaning cycle.
Dishwasher with water valve having volumetric flow control
A dishwasher has a treating chamber for receiving dishes for treatment according to an automatic cycle of operation and a dispensing system for storing and dispensing a treating chemistry to the treating chamber during the cycle of operation. The dishwasher may dispense a treating chemistry when a temperature of a liquid in the treating chamber satisfies a predetermined temperature threshold. The temperature of the liquid may be maintained to satisfy the predetermined temperature threshold for a predetermined period of time based on the treating chemistry.
Alternating pump direction for fluid detection
A domestic appliance and a method at the domestic appliance for detecting presence of process water in a pump of the domestic appliance are provided. The method of detecting process water in a pump of a domestic appliance may include operating the pump to rotate in a first direction, recording a first response of the pump rotating in the first direction based on a measured pump operation parameter, operating the pump to rotate in a second direction, and recording a second response of the pump rotating in the second direction based on the measured pump operation parameter. The method may further include comparing the first response and the second response, and determining the presence of water in the pump based on the comparison of the first and second response.
Detecting operational state of a dishwasher
The present invention relates to a method of and a device (40) for, detecting an operational state of a dishwasher (10), in particular activation of extra wash zones and overfill situations. The device (40) is arranged to operate a motor (22) driving a dishwasher circulation pump (21) at at least one rotational speed differing from a nominal rotational speed and measure operating current of the motor (22) driving the dishwasher circulation pump (21). Further, the device is arranged to determine whether the dishwasher (10) operates in an operational state differing from a nominal operational state based on the measured circulation pump motor operating current.
Dish washer and method for controlling same
Provided are a dish washing machine capable of effectively removing garbage which remains at the bottom of a washing tub and a filter and a method of controlling the same. When washing water is sprayed from a nozzle while a vane is positioned at a reference position during a drainage operation, since a deflection angle of the vane is bent back and the washing water is strongly sprayed toward a rear wall of a washing tub, the washing water may form a fast and strong water current over a bottom plate of the washing tub, and the fast and strong water current may remove garbage which remains at a filter while flowing over the bottom of the washing tub. Also, even when an excessive amount of garbage is accumulated at a filter at a top end of a sump and blocks the filter during a washing operation such as preliminary washing, main washing, etc., the filter is automatically washed using a small amount of water, thereby eliminating inconvenience of a user to directly separate and wash the filter. Also, washing performance may be effectively improved by precisely determining whether degradation in washing performance caused by a poor circulation of washing water occurs due to a filter blockage or generation of bubbles.
