System and method for inhibiting pyrrhotite-caused damage to concrete structures
A system and a method are provided for inhibiting pyrrhotite-caused damage to concrete structures. The system includes at least one concrete structure, a quantity of migratory corrosion-inhibiting solution, a quantity of concrete reinforcing solution, and a water sealing substance. The concrete structure can be any structure where the concrete aggregate contains pyrrhotite. The quantity of migratory corrosion-inhibiting solution is applied to the concrete structure to prevent further oxidation of pyrrhotite within the concrete structure. The quantity of concrete reinforcing solution is applied to the concrete structure to lower the porosity of the concrete structure and strengthen the overall integrity of the concrete structure. The water sealing substance is applied to the concrete structure to repel water from the concrete structure preventing any further chemical reactions with the pyrrhotite.
Weather-Resistant, Fungal-Resistant, And Stain-Resistant Coatings And Methods Of Applying On Wood, Masonry, Or Other Porous Materials
A process for manufacturing the composition coating may include selecting a wood or masonry material substrate and utilizing a sol-gel comprising a silane or silane derivative and metal oxide precursor to coat the substrate. The process may utilize an all solution process or controlled environment for manufacturing a composition coating that prevent wetting and/or staining of a substrate. The composition coatings for treating wood or masonry materials improves weather-resistance, microbial resistance, stain-resistance and fungal-resistance of the materials. The reduced permeability of the resulting masonry materials can also delay or inhibit degradation caused by permeation of ions such as chlorides and sulfates. In addition, a stain comprising the composite solution and pigments may impart additional property to wood or masonry materials whilst retaining or improving the original appearance, particularly for the visibility and contrast of the wood grain as seen after the application of the coating.
MARKING OF CERAMIC BODIES
An inkjet printhead, a system including an inject printhead, and a method for applying primer to a target area on an outer surface of a ceramic body. The inkjet printhead comprises an ink chamber comprising the primer therein. The primer comprises a pigment, a binder, and a solvent. The primer also comprises a surface tension of at least about 40 mN/m. A spray nozzle is connected to the ink chamber and comprises an exit opening that comprises an area of less than about 20,000 square microns. The spray nozzle is configured to eject droplets of the primer from the exit opening at an average exit velocity of less than about 4 m/s.
Compound for Reinforcing Surface Treatment
A compound for reinforcing surface treatment, in particular a compound for waterproof reinforcing surface treatment of concrete containing water glass, which contains 1 to 10 wt % of bis (γ-triethoxysilylpropyl) tetrasulphide, 89.9 to 98 wt % of an aqueous solution of lithium silicate, and 0.1 to 1 wt % water glass stabiliser.
The full text of the replacement paragraph without any underlining or strikethrough is provided below:

Fiber cement product comprising at least one profiled surface
A method for improving the hydrophobic properties of a fiber cement product, said method comprising the steps of: providing a fiber cement product comprising at least one profiled surface; applying a hydrophobation agent to the at least one profiled surface; wherein the obtained fiber cement product has a water take up of less than 1.5 mL after 48 hours as measured by the RILEM Test No 11.4 in horizontal application.
Moderator for moderating neutrons
Disclosed is a moderator for moderating neutrons, including a substrate and a surface treatment layer or a dry inert gas layer or a vacuum layer coated on the surface of the substrate, wherein the substrate is prepared from a moderating material by a powder sintering device through a powder sintering process from powders or by compacting powders into a block, and the moderating material includes 40% to 100% by weight of aluminum fluoride; wherein the surface treatment layer is a hydrophobic material; and the surface treatment layer or the dry inert gas layer or the vacuum layer is used for isolating the substrate from the water in the environment in which the substrate is placed. The surface treated moderator can avoid the hygroscopic or deliquescence of the moderating material during use, improve the quality of the neutron source and prolong the service life.
