Dishwasher thermometer with wireless temperature logger and associated methods
A dishwasher thermometer captures temperature data of temperature sensed within a dishwasher during a wash cycle. The dishwasher thermometer includes a wireless communication interface that transmits the captured temperature data to one or more of a server and a monitor device. When the captured temperature data indicates that the wash cycle did not achieve defined temperature threshold(s), an alert is generated at the server and/or the monitor device indicating that the wash cycle did not meet appropriate washing conditions. In embodiments, the temperature data may be accessible to a third party for certification of the dishwasher wash cycle.

The dishwashing appliance also includes a heat pipe heat exchanger having a condenser section and an evaporator section. The condenser section is in operative communication with the wash chamber and the evaporator section is in operative communication with the heating element of the fluid circulation system.
Heating assembly for a washing appliance
A dishwashing appliance includes a tub, a fluid circulation system, and a heating assembly positioned outside of the tub. The heating assembly includes a housing and a tubular heating element disposed within the housing. The tubular heating element includes an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface of the tubular heating element defines a first passage in fluid communication with the fluid circulation system. The outer surface of the tubular heating element is spaced apart from an inner surface of the housing such that a second passage is defined between the outer surface of the tubular heating element and the inner surface of the housing. The second passage is in fluid communication with the tub. A resistive heating material is disposed on the outer surface of the tubular heating element. The resistive heating material is configured to provide thermal energy to the first passage and the second passage.
DISHWASHER WITH VERTICALLY ADJUSTABLE DISH RACK
A dishwasher includes a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, at least one dish rack in the treating chamber, and a rack height adjustment assembly. The rack height adjustment assembly includes an adjuster plate slidably coupled to the at least one dish rack and fixed vertically relative to the tub, the adjuster plate including at least one adjuster detent, a locking lever having a catch end that is biased to engage the adjuster detent to hold the dish rack in place in either a lowered or raised position, the locking lever being pivotally movable relative to the at least one dish rack between an engaging position where the catch end engages the adjuster detent and a release position where the catch end does not engage the adjuster detent and the dish rack is vertically movable between the lowered and raised positions, and an actuator configured to move the locking lever to the release position when the actuator is moved from an undepressed position to a depressed position.
METHOD FOR REMOVING A DEPOSITION OF SCALE ON A HEATING ELEMENT AND A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE CONFIGURED TO PERFORM THE METHOD
A method for removing a deposition of scale on a heating element may include turning on the heating element to heat the liquid in the heating space, determining a first value (Tv1) of temperature of the heating element and/or a first time period (tp1) during heating of the liquid. The method may further include turning off the heating element and turning on the heating element at a second value (Tv2) of temperature of the heating element and reheating the liquid in the heating space until temperature of the heating element reaches a third value (Tv3) related to the first value (Tv1) and/or until a second time period (tp2) related to the first time period (tp1) is reached. A household appliance may also be provided.
DISHWASHER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
Disclosed is a dishwasher ejecting wash water containing microbubbles. The dishwasher according to an embodiment includes a tub accommodating dishes therein, a plurality of wash arms spraying wash water into the tub, a bubble nozzle ejecting wash water containing microbubbles to the bottom of the tub, a sump disposed below the bottom of the tub and collecting wash water therein, a wash pump pumping wash water collected in the sump, a channel-switching unit supplying wash water pumped by the wash pump to at least one of the plurality of wash arms, and a bubble module generating microbubbles in wash water pumped by the wash pump and supplying the wash water containing microbubbles to the bubble nozzle, and a controller operates the wash pump and controls the channel-switching unit and the bubble module to spray wash water through at least one of the plurality of wash arms and simultaneously to eject wash water through the bubble nozzle.
LOCK AND HOME APPLIANCE HAVING THE SAME
A lock and a home appliance having the same are disclosed. The lock includes a holder provided at one selected from between the cabinet and the door, a housing provided at the other selected from between the cabinet and the door, a first stopper provided at the housing, a fastening unit separably coupled to the first stopper so as to be coupled to the holder when separated from the first stopper, an actuation unit configured to reciprocate in the housing, the actuation unit being configured to be moved away from the introduction port in the state of contacting the holder when the door is moved so as to close the introduction port, the actuation unit being configured to separate the fastening unit from the first stopper while being moved away from the introduction port, a first elastic member for providing force necessary to move the fastening unit away from the introduction port when the fastening unit is separated from the first stopper, a second elastic member for providing force necessary to move the actuation unit toward the introduction port, and an actuation unit lock for fixing the actuation unit to the housing when not in contact with the door and releasing coupling between the actuation unit and the housing when in contact with the door.
Heat pump and dishwasher comprising the same
A heat pump for a dishwasher includes a pump casing, a motor (20) having a rotatable shaft 201 extended into a chamber of the pump casing, an impeller (30) disposed within the chamber, a heating assembly (40) and a pressure switch assembly (50). The heating assembly includes a heating pipe (41) disposed in the chamber, a fuse (42), and a heater wire disposed in the heating pipe. The heating pipe includes an arc-shaped portion (411), and first and second linear portions (412, 413). Immersion Systems & Methods for Pre-Washing or Washing Silverware
A silverware pre-washing and washing system made up of a unitary basin with one to five, and preferably three, vertically movable porous baskets arranged radially around a central vertical lifting and lowering mechanism. The base with unitary basin contains a quantity of washing fluid(s) into which each of the vertically movable porous baskets may be repeatedly immersed. The base cover defines cylindrical ports through which the baskets are raised and lowered. The porous baskets include perforation arrays to allow washing fluid to flow in non-linear paths through the silverware contained in the basket, thereby washing all sides of the silverware and beneficially re-arranging the silverware in the basket as the washing process proceeds.
