A method and apparatus for operating a dishwasher as a humidifier. The method includes, in response to an input indicating a humidifying cycle of operation, implementing the humidifying cycle of operation. The humidifying cycle of operation can include generating moisture-laden air within a treating chamber of the dishwasher and emitting the generated moisture-laden air to an exterior surrounding the dishwasher. The dishwasher implementing the humidifying cycle of operation or the dish treating cycle of operation, where the humidifying cycle and the dish treating cycle are not simultaneously implemented.

A water-conducting household appliance includes a channel section heatable from outside and configured for passage of fluid in a flow direction. A plurality of electrically interconnected heat conductor elements are provided for executing a heating action. A free-standing Energy Recovery System enables sanitary recovery of thermal energy with heat transfer from hot waste effluent to incoming domestic water. The source of the effluent may, for example, be conventional commercial ware-washing, clothes washing equipment, pasteurization and other industrial processes.

A lock and a home appliance having the same are disclosed. A dishwasher for treating dishes according to a cycle of operation, the dishwasher comprising a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, a dish rack received within the treating chamber and configured for receiving dishes for treatment during the cycle of operation, a sprayer located within the treating chamber and above the dish rack, and emitting a second liquid at a second speed, greater than the first speed, downwardly onto the dish rack to form a high-speed spray.

Proposed is ultrasonic spoon washing apparatus and method, which use ultrasonic waves generated by one or more ultrasonic oscillators provided on a vertical side wall of polygonal surfaces of a wash tub, so that spoons contained in a spoon support part rotating forward/in reverse may very efficiently and conveniently be washed while the number of revolutions changes for each washing stage, the apparatus including: a frame body; the wash tub mounted inside the frame body; one or more ultrasonic oscillators provided on an outer side of the vertical side wall; a forward/reverse rotation support part including a support shaft and a rotation support pipe; a spoon support part including a holder and a spoon accommodation container; a rinsing water supply part configured to spray the rinsing water together with a rinsing aid; and a wastewater and foreign material discharge part configured to discharge, to the outside, wastewater and foreign materials.

The present disclosure relates to a dish washer having a heat pump, and the dish washer may include a washing tank provided with a sump at a bottom surface thereof and provided with an accommodation space for storing dishes therein; a heat pump system provided with an evaporator, a compressor that compresses and circulates refrigerant, a condenser that heats washing water for washing the dishes, and an expansion apparatus; and a heat exchange system that exchanges heat between water for heat transfer to the refrigerant and the evaporator, thereby enhancing the heat exchange performance and efficiency of the evaporator.

The present disclosure relates to a dishwasher having a heat pump, including a dishwasher body provided with a tub configured with a washing space therein and a sump provided at a bottom of the tub to temporarily accommodate washing water; a washing water storage unit provided in the dishwasher body to store washing water therein; a heat pump having a compressor, an evaporator, an expansion apparatus, and a condenser provided to exchange heat with the washing water of the washing water storage unit; and a controller that controls the heat pump to increase the temperature of the washing water of the washing water storage unit. As a result, a heating time of washing water may be shortened, thereby suppressing a time required for washing dishes from being prolonged.
