Dishwasher system with a reuse tank

A method of operating a dishwasher includes a tub that at least partially forms a treating chamber and a reuse tank fluidly coupled to the tub for storing liquid from the tub for subsequent reuse in the treating chamber. The method includes supplying liquid from the reuse tank to the tub, sanitizing liquid in the tub by heating the liquid to a sanitizing temperature by operating a heating element located in the tub and maintaining the liquid at or above the sanitizing temperature for a sanitizing time period sufficient to sanitize the liquid, and supplying the liquid in the tub to the reuse tank after sanitizing to sanitize the reuse tank.

Household dishwasher for washing dishes in one or more partial wash cycles, and associated method

A household dishwasher includes a wash container for holding dishes to be washed and a fill reservoir attached to the wash container. The fill reservoir is filled with fresh water from a fresh water network, and a quantity of fresh water required for the wash sub-cycle is removed from the fill reservoir and feed into the wash container. A heat pump includes an evaporator which is thermally coupled to the fill reservoir to extract heat energy from stored fresh water, and a condenser via which heat energy is fed into an interior space of the wash container. Disposed between the interior space of the wash container and an interior space of the fill reservoir is a single-layer or multilayer insulation material system to reduce a heat flow from the wash container.

Warewasher with heat recovery system

A warewash machine includes a chamber for receiving wares, the chamber having at least one wash zone. A refrigerant medium circuit includes a first condenser and a second condenser, the first condenser located upstream of the second condenser in the refrigerant circuit. The refrigerant medium circuit includes a first flow path through the first condenser and a second flow path in bypass of the first condenser, and a valve for selectively controlling whether at least some refrigerant medium flows along the first flow path or the second flow path.

Warewasher with heat recovery system

A warewash machine includes a chamber for receiving wares, the chamber having at least one wash zone. A refrigerant medium circuit includes a first heat exchanger arranged to deliver refrigerant medium heat to a first fluid and a second heat exchanger arranged to provide a heat exchange relationship between the refrigerant medium and a second fluid, the first heat exchanger located upstream of the second heat exchanger in the refrigerant medium circuit. A bypass arrangement for causing at least some refrigerant medium to selectively bypass at least one of the first condenser or the second condenser based upon subcooled refrigerant medium condition.

Auxiliary gray water source device for commercial kitchens

An auxiliary gray water supply device captures used wash water from a commercial warewashing machine for supply to a pre-rinse station without substantial modification of the commercial warewashing machine. The captured wash water and treatment agent are delivered to a pre-rinse station for pre-rinsing of dishes that will be washed within the commercial warewashing machine.

WASHING MACHINE COMPRISING A WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM

The invention relates to a program-controlled apparatus (1) for washing items that is equipped with a water purification system (8) for purifying the wash liquor by removing detergent and suspended soil, which purification system (8) utilizes addition of flocculant, wherein the amount of flocculant that is added is controlled to minimize the total amount of flocculant used without compromising the efficacy of the purification treatment.

WASTE-LIQUID HEAT RECOVERY

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for transferring heat energy from a waste-liquid, wherein the apparatus (100) comprises at least one heat exchange element (107) for transferring heat energy from waste liquid in a first container (101) to a first target fluid, at least one heat pump clement (111) for transferring heat energy from waste-liquid transferred from the first container to the further container (102), at least one selectively operable exit-valve element (115) for selectively providing at least one fluid communication path for allowing waste-liquid to exit from the further container, and at least one controller element for selectively operating the heat pump element to transfer heat energy from waste-liquid in the further container to a further target fluid and/or for selectively operating the at least one selectively operable exit-valve element.
