COATED PANEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A COATED PANEL
20210285226 · 2021-09-16 ·

The present invention relates to a method for the manufacturing of a coated panel, in particular a wall, ceiling or flooring panel for applications in outdoor areas, as well as such a panel. The method comprises the following steps: providing a carrier plate of mineral wool and/or glass wool, comprising a front side and a rear side, applying a primer onto the front side of the carrier plate, thereafter applying a liquid first oligomer in an amount of 30 to 150 g/m.sup.2 onto the front side of the carrier plate; thereafter applying a liquid second oligomer, which differs from the first oligomer, in an amount of 30 to 180 g/m.sup.2 onto the wet surface of the before applied layer of the first oligomer.

SILICATE-EMULSION PRIMER AND PAINT

An emulsion composition includes an acrylic polymer, a metal silicate, and water. Advantageously, the emulsion composition provides coatings with superior adhesion of coatings to a concrete, clay, or ceramic substrate. In particular, the emulsion composition provides improved adhesion of the silicate primer to the concrete, clay, or ceramic substrate and strong cohesion between the primer and top coat paint allow for a much better overall performance. A method for applying the emulsion composition is also provided.

PHENALKAMINE EPOXY CURING AGENTS FROM METHYLENE BRIDGED POLY(CYCLOHEXYL-AROMATIC) AMINES AND EPOXY RESIN COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING THE SAME
20210139642 · 2021-05-13 ·

The present invention relates to a new structural class of phenalkamine, phenalkamine curing agent compositions, methods of making such phenalkamine, and methods of making such compositions. The phenalkamine curing agent compositions of the present invention can be prepared by reacting cardanol with an aldehyde compound and a mixture of methylene bridged poly(cycloaliphatic-aromatic)amines. These curing-agent compositions may be used to cure, harden, and/or crosslink an epoxy resin.

THREE COMPONENT COMPOSITION FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF PRIMER LAYER OR SCRATCH COATING FOR FLOORING

A three component composition consisting of a polyol component (A) including at least two polyols, one with high, one with low molecular weight and water, a polyisocyanate component (B) including a methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) product with an average NCO functionality of at least 2.5, or a methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) product with an average NCO functionality of at least 2 and at least one further polyol with an amount of between 1% and 30% based on the weight of the polyisocyanate component (B), wherein the MDI product and the polyol have reacted at least partially, and a powder component (C) including at least one hydraulic binder, preferably cement and/or calcined paper sludge, preferably a calcium compound selected from calcium hydroxide and/or calcium oxide, and optionally one or more aggregates.

EMULSION COMPOSITIONS FOR PRIMING A PAVEMENT SURFACE

Aqueous base- or acid-stabilized emulsions are provided for use on a pavement surface, and for use in an aqueous priming base emulsion that is used for priming a pavement surface. Any of the emulsions can be applied to a pavement surface to form a primed pavement surface, and then cured so that the pavement is available for use in preparing a pavement.

Pulverulent primer composition

The present invention relates to primer compositions in powder form that comprise a dispersion powder based on an acrylate polymer having a glass transition temperature in the range from 50 C. to +30 C. and cement. The compositions of the invention are notable for good water barrier effect, good dust-binding capacity, and a low tendency toward salt efflorescence. The compositions find use in the priming of masonry, concrete, rendered surfaces, abraded render, plaster surfaces, wall blocks, wood, and ceramic tiles. They can also be used as adhesion promoters with nonabsorbent substrates such as glazed ceramic or glass tiles, metal surfaces, or surfaces of plastic.

Joint compounds and spackling compounds which comprise a sanding indicator, the compounds displaying a first color at the surface upon drying/hardening. Methods for finishing a substrate or patching a substrate, the methods comprise applying the joint compound which comprises the sanding indicator and/or the spackling compound which comprises the sanding indicator and sanding the dried/hardened compound until the first color is removed. Accessory products which comprise at least one sanding indicator and methods for making joint compounds and spackling compounds comprising the sanding indicator.

COATING AGENT FOR CONCRETE STRUCTURES
20190390083 · 2019-12-26 ·

A coating agent is disclosed, which is suitable for concrete structures. The coating agent comprises: (A) a diorganopolysiloxane capped at both molecular terminals with silanol groups or silicon atom-bonded hydrolyzable groups; (B) a silane compound having at least two silicon atom-bonded hydrolyzable groups per molecule, or a partially hydrolyzed condensate thereof; (C) a curing catalyst; and (D) fumed silica. The coating agent forms a silicone film that is strongly adherent to a concrete structure, and that enables visual confirmation of the surface state of the concrete structure through the silicone film.
