An insulative and lightweight fire barrier composition contains foam or lightweight aggregate and calcium sulfoaluminate cement or their blend with Portland cement or gypsum hemihydrate. The blocks, coatings, and panels made with such compositions are as non-combustible as fiberglass, mineral, and rock wool insulation, yet possess the dimensional stability and rigidity for manufacturing into blocks and panels with good handling and installation features that these fibrous counterparts are lacking. The fire barrier properties of this composition are comparable with or better than cellular glass, cement, gypsum, and intumescent coatings.

In particular, sprayable coating compositions are provided, and methods of application, for coating asphalt paving surfaces. In the coating composition, a lightweight aggregate material of sprayable particle size is stably suspended in a sprayable asphalt emulsion in an amount sufficient to increase the micro-texture surface roughness of the cured coating.

A dry construction plaster composition made with at least stucco in an amount from about 25 to about 99 wt %; hydrated lime in an amount from about 0.5 to about 75 wt %; a phosphate-based lime bucking inhibitor in an amount from about 0.01 to about 1 wt %; and a setting reaction controlling agent, wherein the setting reaction controlling agent comprises a set accelerator, a set inhibitor, or any combination thereof is provided. A microfibrous shotcrete mixture which is used in mining applications, in highway, railway, subway tunnels, as excavation support element slope applications. The microfibrous shotcrete mixture provides a decreased amount of rebound. The objective of the present invention is to increase cohesion significantly and reduce the rebound amount in shotcrete up to four times by establishing a bridge between concrete particles by means of the special structure of the developed microfiber.
