Semiconductor processing apparatus with protective coating including amorphous phase
Embodiments of the invention relate to compositions including a yttrium-based fluoride crystal phase, or a yttrium-based oxyfluoride crystal phase, or an oxyfluoride amorphous phase, or a combination of these materials. The compositions may be used to form a solid substrate for use as a semiconductor processing apparatus, or the compositions may be used to form a coating which is present upon a surface of substrates having a melting point which is higher than about 1600, substrates such as aluminum oxide, aluminum nitride, quartz, silicon carbide and silicon nitride, by way of example.
ENHANCED CERAMIC COATING
The present invention relates to an enhanced ceramic coating, ECC, composition comprising a non-stick ceramic coating composition, CCC, and 0.2 wt %-2 wt % diamond additive, DA with wt % compared with the total weight compared to the ECC composition. It also relates to a method of coating an artefact with the ECC, and an artefact provided 5 with a dry film coating containing an ECC prepared using an ECC composition of the invention. An artefact coated with the ECC has the combined advantages of durable non-stick, scratch resistance and abrasion resistance.
BIFURACTING LAYUP FOR AIRFOIL RIB, METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF AND ARTICLES COMPRISING THE SAME
An airfoil comprises a wall that defines a leading edge and a trailing edge and one or more cavities located within the wall along with a rib that separates the cavities. The rib or the wall comprises a first split ply that comprises a consolidated section and two or more split sections; wherein the split sections emanate from the consolidated section; and where the split sections define the wall and the cavities of the airfoil.
REFRACTORY METAL CERAMICS AND METHODS OF MAKING THEREOF
A composition having nanoparticles of a refractory-metal carbide or refractory-metal nitride and a carbonaceous matrix. The composition is not in the form of a powder. A composition comprising a metal component and an organic component. The metal component is nanoparticles or particles of a refractory metal or a refractory-metal compound capable of decomposing into refractory metal nanoparticles. The organic component is an organic compound having a char yield of at least 60% by weight or a thermoset made from the organic compound. A method of combining particles of a refractory metal or a refractory-metal compound capable of reacting or decomposing into refractory-metal nanoparticles with an organic compound having a char yield of at least 60% by weight to form a precursor mixture.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AMORPHOUS CERAMICS
The present disclosure provides a method for manufacturing amorphous ceramics. The method includes preparing a precursor solution including at least one cation, a first anion and a solvent; rapid drying the precursor solution to obtain an intermediate in the form of a powder or thin film; and performing an anion-exchange of the intermediate, wherein the first anion of the intermediate is exchanged for a second anion to obtain amorphous ceramics including the second anion.
