A thermoelectric conversion material formed of a sintered body containing magnesium silicide as a main component contains 0.5 mass % or more and 10 mass % or less of aluminum oxide. The aluminum oxide is distributed at a crystal grain boundary of the magnesium silicide.
FOAMED MATERIAL INFILTRATED WITH HIGH TEMPERATURE CERAMIC
An open cell reticulated foam structure having a MAX phase ceramic material infiltrated at least partially into the foam structure to produce the infiltrated product. The open cell reticulated foam structure can be shaped and sized to the final shape and size of the final product prior to infiltrating with the MAX phase ceramic material. Sintering of the MAX phase ceramic material can be done with pressureless sintering. The final infiltrated product can provide heat shielding to temperatures in excess of 2400° C.
LITHOGRAPHY-BASED PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF TRANSPARENT CERAMIC BODIES WITH AT LEAST TWO ZONES OF DIFFERENT COMPOSITION AND TRANSPARENT CERAMIC BODIES THUS OBTAINED
It is described a process for producing transparent ceramic bodies with at least two zones having different garnet composition, in particular in which one of said zones has composition Y.sub.3AI.sub.5O.sub.12. The invention is especially useful for the production of transparent ceramic bodies having preset complex shapes and/or a controlled complex distribution of doping ions.
