Adjustable grill grate scraper
11000172 · 2021-05-11 ·

A grill grate scraper comprises a handle portion adapted to be grasped by a user and a scraper assembly opposite the handle portion. The scraper assembly includes a scraper head made up of a plurality of scraper blades and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism can be in an unlocked position where the plurality of scraper blades are moveable relative to one another and a locked position where the plurality of scraper blades are locked in place. Each of the plurality of scraper blades can be a rigid blade comprising a scraping portion and a rearward portion, the scraping portion comprising a scraping edge and an adjacent side surface. In one version, when in the locked position, the locking mechanism applies a lateral compressive force on the plurality of scraper blades. In another version, the locking mechanism prevents accidental separation of the scraper blades from the scraper assembly when in the unlocked position.

A scraper sponge for cleaning and scraping away unwanted substances from an object or surface comprising a sponge body defining a first surface, first layer, second layer, third layer, second surface opposite the first surface, a continuous side surface around the perimeter; and the back of a scraper secured to the first layer opposite the first surface and the scraper defined by the first layer and an aperture through and approximately in the middle of the second layer, third layer and second surface of the sponge body. The entire surface area of the scraper, on it's front surface, is covered with pyramid shaped points extending outwardly in the direction of the second surface of the sponge body and is made level with the second surface of the sponge body when forces are applied to the first surface and subsequent back of scraper to manipulate the rigid scraper on a hard surface. The sponge body has three surfaces available for cleaning and scouring: the first surface, front scraper surface and second surface. The seamless second layer, third layer, third surface, and continuous side surface of the second and third layer are made of the same sponge-like cellulose material. As an alternative, the second layer, third layer, second surface, and the continuous side surface of the second and third layer are not made of the same material and the sponge body has at least four surfaces adapted for cleaning and scouring; the first surface, scraper front surface, the continuous side surface of layer two and the second surface. As a second alternative, the scraper and aperture are placed on the width side of the scraper sponge.

BBQ GRILL SCRAPER

A barbeque grill scraper and related methods of use that utilize a scraping end formed of a heat-responsive material to remove char and other debris from the grilling surface. The grill scraper includes a conformable scraping edge formed of the heat-responsive material. As the conformable scraping edge is drawn back and forth along the heated grilling surface, a combination of pressure applied by a user as well as the heat of the grill surface results in the formation of individual grooves along the conformable scraping edge, wherein each groove is formed to match an upper profile of the grilling surface. Over time, the grooves fully conform to the upper profile of the grilling surface such that an entire cooking surface can be scraped clean of char and debris.
