A method and system are provided to recover water and carbon dioxide from combustion emissions. The recovery includes, among other things, electrolysis and carbon dioxide capture in a suitable solvent. The recovered water and carbon dioxide are subject to reaction, such as a catalytic methanation reaction, to generate at least methane.

Process for capture of carbon dioxide from air and the direct conversion of carbon dioxide into fuels and chemicals

The invention relates to a process, catalysts, materials for conversion of renewable electricity, air, and water to low or zero carbon fuels and chemicals by the direct capture of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and the conversion of the carbon dioxide to fuels and chemicals using hydrogen produced by the electrolysis of water.

Process for Conversion of Carbon Dioxide and Power into Fuels and Chemicals

The present invention describes a processes, systems, and catalysts for the conversion of carbon dioxide and water and electricity into low carbon or zero carbon high quality fuels and chemicals. In one aspect, the present invention provides an integrated process for the conversion of a feed stream comprising carbon dioxide to a product stream comprising hydrocarbons between 5 and 24 carbon atoms in length.

System and method for producing propylene and acrylonitrile from carbon dioxide and ethylene
11746082 · 2023-09-05 ·

A system and method for efficiently and sustainably producing propylene and acrylonitrile is disclosed which utilizes biodegradable materials, combustible materials that produce carbon dioxide and/or carbon monoxide. According to one embodiment of the invention, a source of carbon dioxide and/or carbon monoxide is utilized and the carbon dioxide and/or carbon monoxide is electrochemically reduced to ethylene. Dimerization is applied to separate the ethylene to produce 1-butene; which is isomerized to produce 2-butene. The 2-butene is metathesized to produce propylene. The propylene may then be subject to ammoxidation as desired in order to produce acrylonitrile.
