Rhenium catalysts for glycerin to allyl alcohol conversion
A catalyst system for the conversion of glycerin to allyl alcohol, the catalyst system comprising: a rhenium compound selected from rhenium dioxide, rhenium trioxide, and a combination thereof. A method of producing allyl alcohol from glycerin via the catalyst system, the method comprising exposing glycerin to a temperature of greater than 140 C. in the presence of a catalyst comprising rhenium trioxide, rhenium dioxide, or a combination thereof to produce a product comprising allyl alcohol.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REGIOSELECTIVE CARBONYLATION OF 2,2-DISUBSTITUTED EPOXIDES FOR THE PRODUCTION OF ALPHA,ALPHA-DISUBSTITUTED BETA-LACTONES
Provided are methods of producing carbonyl compounds (e.g., carbonyl containing compounds) and catalysts for producing carbonyl compounds. Also provided are methods of making polymers from carbonyl compounds and polymers formed from carbonyl compounds. A method may produce carbonyl compounds, such as, for example ,-disubstituted carbonyl compounds (e.g., ,-disubstituted -lactones). The polymers may be produced from ,-disubstituted -lactones, which may be produced by a method described herein.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REGIOSELECTIVE CARBONYLATION OF 2,2-DISUBSTITUTED EPOXIDES FOR THE PRODUCTION OF ALPHA,ALPHA-DISUBSTITUTED BETA-LACTONES
Provided are methods of producing carbonyl compounds (e.g., carbonyl containing compounds) and catalysts for producing carbonyl compounds. Also provided are methods of making polymers from carbonyl compounds and polymers formed from carbonyl compounds. A method may produce carbonyl compounds, such as, for example ,-disubstituted carbonyl compounds (e.g., ,-disubstituted -lactones). The polymers may be produced from ,-disubstituted -lactones, which may be produced by a method described herein.
Process for the dehydration of oxygenated compounds
The present invention relates to a process for the dehydration of at least one oxygenated compound, preferably selected from saturated alcohols, unsaturated alcohols, diols, ethers, in the presence of at least one dehydration catalyst selected from cerium oxide (CeO.sub.2), aluminium oxide (-Al.sub.2O.sub.3), aluminium silicate, silica-aluminas (SiO.sub.2Al.sub.2O.sub.3), aluminas, zeolites, sulfonated resins, ion-exchange resins, metal oxides (for example, lanthanum oxide, zirconium oxide, tungsten oxide, thallium oxide, magnesium oxide, zinc oxide); of at least one basic agent selected from ammonia (NH.sub.3), or from inorganic or organic compounds containing nitrogen capable of developing ammonia (NH.sub.3) during said dehydration process; and, optionally, of silica (SiO.sub.2), or of at least one catalyst for the dissociation of ammonia (NH.sub.3) selected from catalysts comprising silica (SiO.sub.2), preferably of silica (SiO.sub.2).
Process for the dehydration of oxygenated compounds
The present invention relates to a process for the dehydration of at least one oxygenated compound, preferably selected from saturated alcohols, unsaturated alcohols, diols, ethers, in the presence of at least one dehydration catalyst selected from cerium oxide (CeO.sub.2), aluminium oxide (-Al.sub.2O.sub.3), aluminium silicate, silica-aluminas (SiO.sub.2Al.sub.2O.sub.3), aluminas, zeolites, sulfonated resins, ion-exchange resins, metal oxides (for example, lanthanum oxide, zirconium oxide, tungsten oxide, thallium oxide, magnesium oxide, zinc oxide); of at least one basic agent selected from ammonia (NH.sub.3), or from inorganic or organic compounds containing nitrogen capable of developing ammonia (NH.sub.3) during said dehydration process; and, optionally, of silica (SiO.sub.2), or of at least one catalyst for the dissociation of ammonia (NH.sub.3) selected from catalysts comprising silica (SiO.sub.2), preferably of silica (SiO.sub.2).

PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF ALLYL ALCOHOL
The invention relates to a process for producing allyl alcohol, the process comprising: dehydrating a C3-oxygenate comprising monopropylene glycol or 1,3-propanediol; wherein the dehydration is performed in the presence of a basic catalyst.
The C3-oxygenate may be derived from a biomass conversion process and subsequently converted to acrylic acid.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF ALLYL ALCOHOL
The invention relates to a process for producing allyl alcohol, the process comprising: dehydrating a C3-oxygenate comprising monopropylene glycol or 1,3-propanediol; wherein the dehydration is performed in the presence of a basic catalyst.
The C3-oxygenate may be derived from a biomass conversion process and subsequently converted to acrylic acid.
PdIn alloy catalyst, method for manufacturing PdIn alloy catalyst and application thereof
The present disclosure provides a PdIn alloy catalyst including a carrier and Pd metal particles supported by the carrier, the carrier is a nitrogen-doped porous carbon composite material having a plurality of passages, Pd metal particles are distributed in the plurality of passages, the nitrogen-doped porous carbon composite material includes a nitrogen-doped porous carbon material, a plurality of indium oxide particles, and In metal particles. The In metal particles are exposed through the plurality of passages, the plurality of indium oxide particles are uniformly distributed in the nitrogen-doped porous carbon material, and In atoms of the In metal particles migrated to surfaces of Pd particles selectively occupy edge and corner positions of metal lattice of Pd metal particles. The present disclosure further provides a method for manufacturing the PdIn alloy catalyst and application thereof.
