USER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM FOR REUSABLE MEDICAL DEVICES

A user assistance system for reusable medical devices and a method for monitoring processing. The user assistance system includes data glasses and a data memory in which a plurality of type datasets are saved that each include information relating to an identifying feature of a specific medical device type, and information relating to instructions for reprocessing these medical device types. The user assistance system records a user identifying feature and activates an associated user profile, to record a location identifying feature and to activate an associated location profile, and to display, as visual information, instructions assigned to the active user profile and the active location profile for reprocessing the medical device.

ENDOSCOPE CLEANING WORK SUPPORT DEVICE, METHOD OF OPERATING ENDOSCOPE CLEANING WORK SUPPORT DEVICE, AND ENDOSCOPE CLEANING WORK SUPPORT PROGRAM

In an endoscope cleaning work support device, an operation reception unit received an input from a cleaner. A display control unit controls the display unit to display a procedure for manual cleaning of an endoscope on a display unit step by step. A measurement unit measures a first period of time from a start time of a procedure in a current step marked by reception of an input for displaying the procedure in the current step by the operation reception unit, to an end time of the procedure in the current step marked by reception of an input for displaying a procedure in a subsequent step by the operation reception unit. A comparison determination unit compares a reference period of time defined for each step for displaying the procedure with the first period of time. The display control unit displays information for alerting the cleaner when the first period of time is shorter than the reference period of time on the display unit.

A type acquisition unit determines the type of an endoscope connected to an endoscope connection unit. A light source control unit performs control to make the light emission balance of light in the respective wavelength ranges, which is obtained in a case where the type of the endoscope corresponds to a first endoscope, and the light emission balance of light in the respective wavelength ranges, which is obtained in a case where the type of the endoscope corresponds to a second endoscope, be different from each other.

Endoscope field stop encoding system and method

An endoscopic camera system has an endoscope having a field stop encoded with endoscope information; a camera head coupleable to the endoscope, the camera head generating image data including the endoscope information; and a camera control unit coupleable to the camera head to receive image data from the camera head; and wherein the camera control unit is configured to analyze the endoscope information to identify the endoscope coupled to the camera head.

An image processing apparatus is configured to acquire a first image group and a second image group and execute image processing on the first and second image groups. The image processing apparatus includes: a processor comprising hardware, wherein the processor is configured to: compare the number of images of interest in the first image group, with the number of images of interest in the second image group; and determine, based on a result of the comparison, priority of processing on the first image group and processing on the second image group.

Endoscope system and endoscope

An endoscope system includes: an image pickup device configured to output a digital signal; an EEPROM in which predetermined information concerning an endoscope is recorded; a signal control portion capable of selectively converting data of one of the digital signal outputted from the image pickup device and the predetermined information of the EEPROM to serial data and outputting the serial data; an electro-optical conversion portion configured to convert the data outputted from the signal control portion to an optical signal and output the optical signal; a universal cable; and a data switching portion switched to transfer the predetermined information from the EEPROM by the signal control portion and then transfer the digital signal by the signal control portion. The signal control portion decides through which of a metal transmitting member and an optical transmitting member the predetermined information is transmitted, based on a data amount of the predetermined information.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONNECTING A MEDICAL IMAGING DEVICE TO A MEDICAL IMAGING CONTROLLER

A cable for connecting a medical imaging device to a medical imaging controller includes a first connector located at a distal end of the cable for connecting to the imaging device, a second connector located at a proximal end for connecting to the medical imaging controller, a circuit board comprising at least one memory that stores at least authentication information associated with the cable. The circuit board is communicatively connected via a communication bus on the circuit board to the second connector for enabling access to the authentication information by the medical imaging controller. One or more imaging communication lines extend between the first connector and the second connector for communicating imaging data from the medical imaging device to the medical imaging controller. The one or more imaging communication lines bypass the communication bus on the circuit board.
