Endoscopic Ultrasound Fine Needle Aspiration Device
A handle for a medical device includes a proximal segment defining a proximal lumen extending therethrough and sized and shaped to receive an endoscopic medical device therein. A medial segment is received within a distal portion of the proximal segment and has an outer diameter smaller than an inner diameter thereof. A medial lumen extends through the proximal segment and is open to the proximal lumen. A distal segment is received within a distal portion of the medial segment and defines a distal lumen extending therethrough open to the medial lumen. The distal segment has an outer diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the medial segment. The medial segment includes a first movement limiting mechanism limiting movement of an endoscopic medical device inserted therethrough along an axis of the distal lumen and a second movement limiting mechanism limiting advancement of an endoscope attached to the distal body portion.
Imaging element cleaning apparatus with structure-mandated cleaning member motion control
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to providing an effective and reliable approach for cleaning an exposed surface of an imaging element (e.g., a lens) of apparatuses including but not limited to medical imaging instruments such as endoscopes and laparoscopes and the like. In the case of medical imaging instruments, cleaning apparatuses configured in accordance with embodiments the present invention can be cleaned while the distal end portion of the endoscope is in vivo. Such apparatuses have a cleaning member incorporated therein (e.g., a resilient polymeric wiper, a sponge, an absorbent pad or the like) that is used for cleaning the exposed surface of the imaging element. The apparatus is preferably adapted for being mounted on the imaging apparatus but can also be entirely or partially integral with one or more components of the imaging apparatus or system of which it is a component.
TREATMENT DEVICE AND TREATMENT SYSTEM
A treatment device used together with an endoscope, has a guide pipe and a movement mechanism. The guide pipe has a first pipe having a curving portion and a second pipe continuous with a proximal side of the curving portion. The curving portion has, in its inner circumferential surface, a bent surface bent to the second pipe, and bending the flow direction of the fluid discharged from the distal end of the sheath in a state where the distal end of the sheath is located near the distal end of the second pipe. The movement mechanism protrudes a distal surface of the insertion portion from the distal end of the sheath and brings the distal surface closer to or into abutment with the bent surface in a state where the distal end of the sheath is disposed near the distal end of the second pipe.
MEDICAL TOOL
A medical tool includes: a tool main unit configured to be driven in response to a power supply; a first power supply configured to be removable from the tool main unit; and a second power supply having a smaller power capacity than the first power supply, and configured to be charged by the first power supply. The tool main unit is configured to be driven by receiving power supply from one of the first power supply and the second power supply.
Imaging element cleaning apparatus
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to providing an effective and reliable approach for cleaning an exposed surface of an imaging element (e.g., a lens) of apparatuses including but not limited to medical imaging instruments such as endoscopes and laparoscopes and the like. ENDOSCOPE
An endoscope having an operating handle including a handle housing arranged at a proximal end and an insertion tube extending from the handle towards a distal end of the endoscope and terminating in a steerable tip part at the distal end of the endoscope, the endoscope further including a control mechanism with a Bowden cable having an outer guide tube having a first length between a proximal end and a distal end of the outer guide tube and an inner pull-wire having a second length between a proximal end and a distal end of the inner pull-wire, the second length being longer than the first length, the proximal end of the outer guide tube is affixed to the operating handle by an adhesive.
A SLIDING MOTION TRANSFER MEMBER FOR AN ENDOSCOPE
A sliding motion transfer member (22) for the kinematic chain of an actuator mechanism of an endoscope. The sliding motion transfer member (22) has a proximal end and a distal end (21). The sliding motion transfer member (22) is adapted to receive motion activation input and to move in a sliding manner in response to said motion activation input, thereby transferring motion to an elongate motion transmission member (27) extending from the distal end (21) of the sliding motion transfer member (20). The sliding motion transfer member (22) comprises a first passage (36) adapted for receiving a proximal section of said elongate motion transmission member (20) and an adhesive.
Medical devices for fluid delivery and related methods of use
A medical device may include an insertion portion longitudinally extending between a proximal end and a distal end. The insertion portion may define a channel extending therethrough. The medical device may further include a handle coupled to the proximal end of the insertion portion. The handle may further include an irrigation port in fluid communication with the channel and coupled to a source of irrigation fluid. Additionally, the handle may include an actuator and a pressurizer. Manipulation of the actuator may be configured to actuate the pressurizer to urge irrigation fluid distally through the channel.
Endotracheal intubation devices
The endoscope herein described has a unique steering capability allowing the highly flexible distal end of the shaft of the device to be moved to a full range angular positions without rotating the device on its long axis, thus enabling the device to be steered within the cavity of interest. The relative lengths of the control cables used to move the distal end of the bendable shaft can be changed whenever the flexible or malleable shaft is to be re-shaped to a new configuration thus preventing the distal end or the steering mechanism from assuming an undesired angular position. When used as an endotracheal device, a novel tongue retractor is described which forms an internal conduit, allowing passage of the bendable shaft of the endotracheal intubation device and an endotracheal tube therethrough. Methods for performing a tracheal intubation and changing the relative lengths of the cables are disclosed.
Adjustable endoscope fixing device
An adjustable endoscope fixing device, comprises a tail bed, a three-way connector and a locking screw; an outer wall surface of a straight column section of the tail bed is provided with a rectangular slot; and an outer wall surface of a first connecting end of the three-way connector is provided with a locking structure, and the straight column section of the tail bed is connected to the first connecting end of the three-way connector, and the tail bed is fixed to the three-way connector by the locking structure.
