Endoscopy/stereo colposcopy medical instrument
A medical endoscopy/stereo colposcopy instrument is configured to selectively take stereo colposcopy images of a patient's uterus and endoscopy images of the patient's bladder or uterus. Any of the images can be white light images or images for a selected narrow wavelength band or fluorescence images. The images can be displayed individually or as spatially registered composite images to highlight selected features of the imaged anatomy. A cup-shaped device can be positioned at the patient's cervix and provided with a light source and a fluorescence camera module to monitor changes in fluorescence in response to a photoactivated substance.
OPTICAL FIBER SCANNER AND SCANNING ENDOSCOPE APPARATUS
Provided is an optical fiber scanner capable of generating an image with excellent image quality, which displaces an emission end of an optical fiber by means of an optical scanning actuator and scans light emitted from the optical fiber, in which the optical fiber 31 includes a photonic crystal fiber at least in a propagation path of the light leading to the optical scanning actuator.
REMOVABLE TIP ENDOSCOPE
There is provided herein, an endoscope comprising an elongated shaft terminating with a tip section wherein said tip section comprises a permanent section connected to the elongated shaft and a removable section securely connectable to the permanent section, wherein the removable section comprises at least one capture device and at least one light source.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEDICAL IMAGING
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for medical imaging. The system may comprise an optical adapter. The optical adapter may comprise a housing that comprises (1) a first end configured to releasably couple to a scope and (2) a second end configured to releasably couple to a camera. The optical adapter may comprise an image sensor coupled to the housing. The optical adapter may comprise an optics assembly disposed in the housing. The optics assembly may be configured to (1) receive light signals that are reflected from a target site within a subject's body and transmitted through the scope, and (2) reflect a first portion of the light signals onto the image sensor while permitting a second portion of the light signals to pass through to the camera.
Rotational device and method for rotating an endoscope
A rotational device for rotating an endoscope having a stationary assembly, a rotatable assembly, which includes a distal coupling means for coupling to an endoscope, a drive means, which is embodied for putting the distal coupling means into rotational motion for rotating an endoscope connected to the distal coupling means, a proximal coupling means at the stationary assembly for coupling to a camera device, and an optical unit for transmitting light from the distal coupling means to the proximal coupling means.
Modular medical imaging system
A modular video imaging system, and more particularly, a modular video imaging system having a control module connectable to multiple input modules. The input modules each capable of receiving differing types of image data from different types of cameras and processing the image data into a format recognizable by the control module. The control unit providing general functions such as user interface and general image processing that is not camera specific.
Method of placing medical insertion instruments in body cavity
An endoscope and an illuminator are safely placed in a body cavity without generating a noticeable postoperative scar. A method of placing medical insertion instruments into a body cavity includes a first step of inserting, into the body cavity through a first opening formed on a body wall, an endoscope together with a first illuminator; and a second step of inserting, into the body cavity through a second opening formed at a position different from the first opening, a second illuminator. Preferably, the method further includes a third step of pulling out the first illuminator from the first opening and inserting the first illuminator into the body cavity through a third opening formed at a position different from the first and second openings.
Endoscopic device
The present application is directed to an endoscopic device, including at least one flexible endo scope shaft and at least one kink protector, which is associated with the endoscope shaft and includes at least one base body that has a conical and/or cylindrical design, at least in sections, and that has a main extension direction and a main extension along the main extension direction, and the kink protector includes at least one quick-release coupling, which is configured for a selective connection to a tube and includes at least one fin situated at least substantially perpendicularly on the base body. It is provided that the fin has an extension extending along the main extension direction of the base body at least across 50% of the main extension of the base body.
Soft endoscopy device
A soft endoscopy device includes an endoscope body structure, a camera assembly and an instrument adapter structure. The endoscope body structure includes a bendable flexible inserting portion and a handle portion connected to one end of the flexible inserting portion, the handle portion being provided with a first access portion, and the flexible inserting portion being internally provided with a first passage. The first access portion is directly or indirectly connected with the first passage. When the camera assembly accesses the first access port, at least a part of the camera assembly extends into the first passage. When the instrument adapter structure accesses the first access port, the first instrument extends into the first passage. According to the soft endoscopy device, the functions of the passages and the access ports are expanded by introducing the instrument adapter structure and by multiplexing the passages and the access ports.
Endoscope and method for producing an endoscope, and latching element
An endoscope having an elongate shaft and a system tube, which extends inside the shaft and in which an image carrier is arranged, the system tube is held in an axial direction of the shaft by means of at least one resilient latching element, and a method for producing such an endoscope and to a latching element for such an endoscope.
