Outer Shaft for an Endoscope and Endoscope System
An outer shaft for receiving a shaft of an endoscope comprises a proximal end region for receiving a proximal end region of the shaft of the endoscope, a sealing surface for resting on a corresponding sealing surface of the endoscope for locally fluid-tight sealing of an intermediate space between outer shaft and shaft of the endoscope and a radially inwardly protruding cleat in the proximal end region for proximally engaging behind a radially outwardly protruding cleat on the proximal end region of the shaft of the endoscope. The radially inwardly protruding cleat is provided on a section of the proximal end region of the outer shaft that is elastically deformable in the axial direction of the outer shaft.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUSES FOR CLEANING A CAMERA DURING A MEDICAL PROCEDURE
One or more camera lenses used for robotic surgery can be cleaned without the need to remove and reinsert one or more cameras. The approaches described herein facilitate cleaning the one or more lenses or one or more protective windows on demand and without the need to remove and reinsert the one or more cameras. Cleaning can include one or more of washing or wiping the one or more lenses or one or more protective windows.
External mechanism for endoscope and endoscope system
An external mechanism for endoscope includes a bending wheel, a motor, a housing case, a case detachably fixing member, and a mounting restricting member obstructing mounting of a housing case on a sub operation section by interfering with a second bending upward and downward fixing lever in a state where the second bending upward and downward fixing lever is at a position other than a release position.
Endoscope handle holder with angulation lever lock-out
Disclosed embodiments include apparatuses for holding an endoscope handle and locking out an angulation lever of an endoscope handle. Given by way of illustration only and not of limitation, in an embodiment an illustrative apparatus includes: a frame; a support mechanism attached to the frame and configured to hold thereon an endoscope handle having an angulation lever; an attachment device configured to hold an endoscope handle in place on the support mechanism; and an angulation lever engagement mechanism configured to prevent an angulation lever of an endoscope handle from returning to a neutral position.
Endoscope and method of use
Medical devices and methods related to endoscopic systems suitable for hysterectomy and other purposes.
Disposable, self-contained laryngoscope and method of using same
The present invention is generally directed toward a laryngoscope having a handle, a rigid tube, and an optical subassembly. The handle has a distal end and a proximate end. The tube is hollow and also has a distal end having a distal opening and a proximate end having a proximate opening. The optical subassembly includes a light source located within the handle, a power source located within the handle and in communication with the light source and a light carrier extending between the handle and the tube and in communication with the light source and providing light inside and along the entire length of the tube.
Method and device for image guided post-nasal nerve ablation
Devices and methods for treating rhinitis are provided. An integrated therapy and imaging device is provided for single handheld use. The device may have a hollow elongated cannula, a therapeutic element coupled to a distal portion of the cannula, an imaging assembly coupled to the cannula to provide visualization of the therapeutic element, and an articulating region operably coupled to the imaging assembly to articulate the imaging assembly. The imaging assembly may be articulated so as to translate vertically, laterally, axially, and/or rotationally.
Laryngoscope
In one embodiment, the present invention relates to a laryngoscope. The laryngoscope includes a blade. The blade includes a first end and a second end extending along the longitudinal axis of the blade. The blade further includes a first edge defining a first side of the blade, as well as a second edge defining a second side of the blade, and the first edge and the second edge extend along a longitudinal axis of the blade. The blade further includes a first curvature from the first end to the second end extending upward along a vertical axis, and a second curvature from the first edge to the second edge also extending upward along the vertical axis. The second curvature allows for considerable tongue control without the need for a large flange that typically causes significant risk of damage to a patient's teeth and other sensitive surrounding tissue.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DISPOSABLE ENDOSCOPE
An endoscope device is provided. The device comprises: an elongate member comprising a proximal end and a distal end, and a camera is located at the distal end of the disposable elongate member; one or more external guiding elements configured to guide an articulation movement of the distal end of the elongate member, and each of the one or more external guiding elements is individually controlled; and a handle component removably attached to the proximal end of the elongate member.
Ear ailment diagnostic device and method
An ear ailment diagnostic device generally comprises a pair of earpieces, which both further comprise a light source, a magnification lens, an air conduction channel and a miniature camera. The earpieces may optionally comprise a thermometer and/or tympanometer. Each earpiece is coupled to an air conduction tube, an insufflator and an electrical wiring/data tube which is coupled to a computer. The insufflator may be manually, electronically, or battery powered. In the preferred embodiment the computer comprises a smart phone with data processing capability and wireless communication capability. Any data sent from the device can then be interpreted and diagnosed in a remote location so that an accurate treatment is prescribed.
