ACTUATORS FOR MEDICAL DEVICES AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
According to one aspect, a handle assembly for a medical device may comprise a handle body; and an actuator for controlling a supply of air and a supply of liquid to the medical device. The actuator may comprise a button including a lumen extending through the button; an interior body coupled to the button, wherein a first channel of the interior body is fluidically connected to the lumen; and an exterior body coupled to the handle body, wherein the interior body is received by the exterior body. The actuator is operable at a plurality of different positions along a circumference of the handle body, and the actuator is configured to: supply air to the medical device when a user covers the lumen; and/or supply liquid to the medical device when a user presses the button.
ENDOSCOPE AND SUCTION-TARGET-OBJECT SUCTION METHOD
An insertion device includes an insertion portion having an outer peripheral surface and configured to be inserted into a subject, and a suction pipeline provided on the outer peripheral surface of the insertion portion. The suction pipeline is switchable from a first state to a second state and the suction pipeline is configured to maintain the second state. In the first state, a distal end of the suction pipeline is folded, and in the second state, the distal end of the suction pipeline is unfolded.
ENDOSCOPE AND MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR A ROBOTIC SURGICAL SYSTEM
Robotics surgical systems, instrument mounts, and endoscopes are disclosed. A robotic surgical system includes a robotic arm, an instrument mount arranged at a distal end of the robotic arm, and an endoscope comprising a housing and a shaft. The housing is configured to be mounted to the instrument mount, and the shaft extends from the housing in a distal direction. A cable is connected to the housing and extends from the housing in a distal direction and along a lateral side of the housing.
ELECTROSURGICAL INSTRUMENT, ELECTROSURGICAL DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING AN ELECTROSURGICAL DEVICE
An electrosurgical instrument configured for connection to a supply apparatus for operation. The instrument has an end opening at the distal end and supports at least one electrode in the area of the end opening to which an alternating voltage potential can be applied. Directly adjoining the end opening, a liner of the electrosurgical instrument limits a flow chamber inside the liner. With distance to the end opening a flushing channel opens out into the flow chamber via an exit opening and a suction channel opens out into the flow chamber via an inlet opening. A flushing fluid can be introduced in the flow chamber via the flushing channel and can be extracted by suction via the suction channel.
ENDOSCOPE ATTACHMENT MECHANISMS AND METHODS OF USE
Some implementations of the disclosure relate to an adapter, comprising: a channel running through the length of the adapter from a first opening to a second opening of the adapter, wherein a shaft of an endoscope is configured to be threaded through the channel; a first coupler configured to removably secure the adapter to a second coupler of the endoscope, the first coupler comprising the second opening; and a rigid attachment segment comprising a surface configured to removably couple the adapter to an instrument or second adapter. The surface of the rigid attachment segment may include multiple grooves and sections alternating along the longitudinal length of the rigid attachment segment, each section protruding relative to the grooves and comprising a recessed indentation or protrusion; and the multiple sections and grooves configured such that the instrument or second adapter can be coupled to the adapter in multiple lengthwise positions.
Endoscopic System With Attached Instruments
An endoscopic system having a shaft, a sheath disposed at least partially inside the shaft having a distal end with a leading surface and an inner surface, the leading surface at the distal end of the sheath having rounded edges so as to be atraumatic, an instrument at least partially inside the sheath and movable relative to the sheath along a longitudinal direction of the sheath, the inner surface being sloped so as to deflect the instrument at a predetermined angle as it is moved into contact with the inner surface and out of the sheath, and the sheath being rotatable relative to the shaft so as to change the direction at which the instrument extends from the sheath.
Housing assembly for periodontal endoscopic probe
An assembly for aiding field use of an endoscopic probe is disclosed. The assembly includes a housing assembly for an endoscopic probe and a compatible holder for the housing assembly. The housing assembly includes a tubular conduit for receiving the endoscopic probe and a plug coupled along a distal end of the tubular conduit. The holder includes a pre-configured arm for facilitating an exploration of a pre-determined quadrant of an oral cavity. The explorer includes a plug receiver. Upon coupling the plug receiver with the inversely matching plug, the tubular conduit passes through the opening and into the third axial channel.
ENDOSCOPE AND METHOD OF USE
Endoscopes and methods of their use, where the endoscopes provide a low profile or cross-section which facilitates introduction through small body passages, such as patient's cervix, and into body cavities, such a patient's uterus.
SURGICAL CONSOLE, SPECIMEN RECEIVER, AND INSERTABLE ENDOSCOPIC INSTRUMENT FOR TISSUE REMOVAL
A surgical console includes a drive assembly, vacuum interface, fluid transfer device, user interface, and control circuit. The drive assembly is configured to be coupled to an endoscopic tool and to be rotated by a motor. The vacuum interface is configured to apply a vacuum to the endoscopic tool. The fluid transfer device is configured to flow fluid through the endoscopic tool. The user interface is configured to receive a user input indicating at least one of instructions to rotate the endoscopic tool while applying the vacuum, or to flow fluid through the endoscopic tool. The control circuit controls at least one of the drive assembly, the vacuum interface, or the fluid transfer device based on the instructions, and is configured to cause the drive assembly to rotate the endoscopic tool while the vacuum interface applies the vacuum responsive to the user input indicating instructions to rotate the endoscopic tool.
Disposable Video Laryngoscope With Fluid Spray System
A disposable video laryngoscope includes a novel internal liquid jet spray. This laryngoscope is designed so that the user may utilize either the video mode in which the image is displayed on an external screen, or the device may be used in the same manner as a direct laryngoscope. If the device is used in video mode, a Light Emitting Diode (LED) is placed within a camera housing so as to prevent or reduce fogging of the lens. The device includes an internal spray mechanism that may receive liquid through a luer-connection interface such as is used with syringes or IV tubing systems and that directs a spray onto a fogged or occluded lens to restore vision.
