Ergonomic Tubing Attachment for Medical Apparatus

An ergonomic attachment system for connecting an irrigation tube or an aspiration tube to a surgical handpiece that reduces surgeon wrist fatigue due to tubing twist. The tube is connected to the handpiece through a swivel joint which allows the tube to rotate circumferentially with respect to the handpiece and self-adjust to a neutral position to relieve the twist.

Wire lock assembly

A wire lock assembly for an access port of an elongate medical tube includes a body having an exterior surface, an interior surface, and a central opening disposed therethrough, an attachment mechanism disposed through the exterior surface of the body, the attachment mechanism having an open end and a closed end, at least one notch arranged on the body and positioned proximate to the central opening and at least one seal supported within the interior surface of the body in communication with the central opening, the seal comprising a passageway therethrough, where the interior surface of the body defines a non-linear pathway for securing one or more medical devices.

A robotic punch system employs a robot unit (70) and a control unit (80). The robot unit (70) includes a robot (71) and an endoscopic punch (72) mounted to the robot (71). The endoscopic punch (72) includes a calibrated spatial alignment of an endoscope (73) and a punch (74). The control unit (80) commands the robot (71) for deploying the endoscopic punch (72) in executing a puncture of an anatomical tissue (92).

Operative Cannulas and Related Methods

An operative cannula includes an elongate shaft that includes a wall structure and a channel extending along the wall structure. The wall structure defines an interior pocket sized to receive a tubular member and is configured to grasp the tubular member when the tubular member is disposed within the interior pocket. The channel is configured to allow passage of an instrument from a proximal end region of the elongate shaft through a distal end region of the elongate shaft.

ENDOSCOPE CLEANING DEVICE

A cleaning device enables cleaning of a lens of an endoscope during a surgical procedure to maintain a clear image without having to remove the endoscope from the patient's body. The cleaning device is disposed on an elongate shaft of a surgical instrument such that a lens of an endoscope may be wiped against the cleaning device to remove debris from the lens.

An object of the present invention is to provide an endoscopic surgery device and an outer tube, capable of easily obtaining an image desired by an operator to facilitate treatment as well as of performing minimally invasive surgery. In the endoscopic surgery device and the outer tube, an endoscope and a treatment tool are inserted into a body cavity through an outer tube. The outer tube is provided with a built-in slider. The slider is provided so as to be axially movable in the outer tube body. The endoscope and the treatment tool, inserted into the outer tube, are held by the slider. Moving the treatment tool allows endoscope to be moved in conjunction with the movement of the treatment tool.

An instrument for use with an endoscope may include an elongate section configured to move exterior to the endoscope. The elongate section may include a distal end and a proximal end. The instrument may also include an end effector attached to the distal end of the elongate section, and an actuation device attached to the proximal end of the elongate section. The actuation device may be configured to operate the end effector. The instrument may also include a guiding member coupled to the elongate section. The guiding member may be configured to be coupled to an external surface of the endoscope to permit the guiding member to move longitudinally relative to the endoscope. The guiding member may be coupled to the elongate section such that the end effector may extend past a distal end of the endoscope and move in a transverse direction independent of the movement of the distal end of the endoscope.

Medical scope attachment device and system

A medical scope attachment device and system includes one or more expandable rings, each having a resilient main body and an inside diameter defining a central opening that corresponds to a dimension of a medical scope. One or more sets of opposing magnetic elements are disposed within each of the rings. The system also includes a ring attachment device having a shelf that is interposed between a pair of opposing electromagnets. The ring attachment device functioning to transition the expandable rings between an expanded and non-expanded state to receive an existing medical scope.

ENDOSCOPIC SUTURING SYSTEM HAVING EXTERNAL INSTRUMENT CHANNEL

A distal cap apparatus for use with an endoscope, having a proximal end and a distal end and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween, includes a mount configured for mounting to the distal end of the endoscope, and a strap connected to the mount and configured for banding about the distal end of the endoscope when the distal end of the endoscope is received in the mount. The mount defines a strap slot configured to receive an end of the strap to configure the strap in the banded configuration. The strap may be elastic. The strap may be a continuous band. In one embodiment, a distal cap apparatus includes a mount having a strap and a buckle for adjusting a size of a loop formed at least partially by the strap about the distal end of the endoscope.
