PORTABLE ENDOSCOPE WITH STEERABLE CANNULA
A handheld endoscope has a disposable, single-use portion that includes a fluid hub, cannula, distal tip and is steerable by the operator though actuation of one or two levers. The endoscope also includes multiple-use portion that has a handle and display module. The distal tip includes LED illumination and an imaging module that feeds live video to the display module that is rotatable to allow viewing by the operator and others. The single-use and multiple-use portions mate and un-mate with each other via physically separated mechanical and electrical connectors. The component of the endoscope can be supplied to users in different combinations of pre-assembled configurations, some in a sterile package. The single use portion can include grasper device that can be actuated by an operator using an actuation tab.
ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
Arrangements comprising an endoscope system having an endoscope including a reusable hand-piece, a separable single-use shaft assembly, a single-use cartridge and a console are disclosed. Endoscope assemblies having articulation knobs attached by friction fit, multi-stage rotational distance limiters, and/or elevators are disclosed. Components of same, packaging systems, and methods are also provided.
Surgical system
A surgical system includes an overtube, a sheathing tube, a syringe, a tube, an inner needle, and a storage case that has individual storage parts for individually storing the overtube, the sheathing tube, the syringe, the tube, and the inner needle, respectively. The storage case fixes a first instrument, which is any one of the overtube, the sheathing tube, the syringe, the tube, or the inner needle, to the individual storage part corresponding to the first instrument by using at least one of second instruments which are other instruments stored in the individual storage parts.
ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM AND PACKAGING MATERIALS FOR ENDOSCOPE
An endoscope system, comprising: an endoscope including an insertion portion, an operation portion, and a connector configured to be connected to an external apparatus, wherein the insertion portion includes a bending portion and wherein the operation portion is connected to the insertion portion; a packaging material, wherein the packaging material contains at least the insertion portion or the operation portion in a sterile environment; and a dome-shaped portion formed in the packaging material, wherein the dome-shaped portion defines a space, and at least a distal section of the bending portion is located inside the space, where in a maximum bent position, the distal section of the bending portion does not contact an inner surface of the dome shaped portion, and wherein the connector is disposed outside of the packaging material.
MEDICAL VISUALIZATION SYSTEM
A medical visualisation system including a first medical visualisation device having a first device colour identifier, a second medical visualisation device having a second device colour identifier, a third medical visualisation device having a third device colour identifier, and a monitor device, the first device colour identifier being a first colour, the second device colour identifier being a second colour, and the third device colour identifier being a third colour. The first colour has a first hue angle, the second colour has a second hue angle, and the third colour has a third hue angle, wherein the first hue angle and the second hue angle differ by more than 40 degrees, the second hue angle and the third hue angle differ by more than 40 degrees, and the third hue angle and the first hue angle differ by more than 40 degrees.
Endoscopy devices and methods of use
An endoscopy system that includes a computer system with a high definition display monitor and a handheld portion. The handheld portion includes a re-usable handle portion and a single use portion that is configured to be disposed of following a single use. The single-use portion includes an elongated cannula with an imaging module and illumination modules at its distal tip. The handheld portion includes multiple sensors that can detect and measure rotation of the cannula relative to the handle portion, and rotation of the entire handheld portion. The sensor data is used to correctly orient and display images captured by the imaging module onto the high definition display monitor.
INSERTION-INSTRUMENT BENDING OPERATION MECHANISM AND INSERTION INSTRUMENT
A bending operation mechanism includes a bending operation member configured to bend a bending portion, a wire pulling member configured to rotate along with rotation of the bending operation member, a lock operation member supported to a rotational axis, a cam member having a cam surface and integrally provided with the lock operation member, and a brake member having a cam follower surface capable of sliding relative to the cam surface. The cam member moves along with rotation of the lock operation member. The brake member moves in a direction in which a contact surface contacts a circumference of the wire pulling member as the cam follower surface slides on the cam surface in accordance with movement of the cam member.
Introduction to self-catheterization kit
A catheter packing assembly that provides directions to the user on the proper procedure for contamination-free use of the catheter.
VENTED ENDOSCOPE TRAY COVERS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A cover for an endoscope storage tray is provided. The cover comprises a flexibly deformable material substantially impermeable to fluids. The flexibly deformable material is configured to be temporarily secured to the tray so as to cover an endoscope storage compartment of the tray. A one-way valve is attached to the cover that is configured to release air flowing from the endoscope storage compartment of the tray to the cover. Systems and methods are also provided.
Instrument tip protector
This invention relates to a tip protector for an instrument such as an endoscope or borescope, the instrument comprising an elongate shaft having a distal tip and said tip including an end face. A tip protector device comprises a guard portion including an elongate tubular portion and a cap arranged to extend over the end face of the instrument; first and second connection members extending from the tubular portion and being movable relative to each other between a first, disengaged position in which said tip of the instrument can be inserted into and removed from the guard portion, and a second, gripping position in which the tip protector grips the shaft of the instrument, the first and second connection members being biased in the first position; and complementary engagement features on the first and second connection members configured to retain the first and second connection members in the gripping position.
