SURGICAL DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS USING MULTI-SOURCE IMAGING
In general, devices, systems, and methods for multi-source imaging are provided.
Methods and Systems for Controlling Cooperative Surgical Instruments with Variable Surgical Site Access Trajectories
Systems, devices, and methods for controlling cooperative surgical instruments with variable surgical site access trajectories are provided. Various aspects of the present disclosure provide for coordinated operation of surgical instruments accessing a common surgical site from different approach and/or separate body cavities to achieve a common surgical purpose. For example, various methods, devices, and systems disclosed herein can enable the coordinated treatment of tissue by disparate minimally invasive surgical systems that approach the tissue from varying anatomical spaces and must operate differently, but in concert with one another, to effect a desired surgical treatment.
Rigid Scope Device
A single solid-state image sensing device is disposed for a first optical system and a second optical system provided in a rigid endoscope. The first image formed by the first light beam emerging from the observation target and passing through the first optical system and the second image formed by the second light beam emerging from the observation target and passing through the second optical system are formed on the imaging surface of the solid-state image sensing device. The solid-state image sensing device then converts the first image and the second image into electric signals. In the picture display unit, the first picture corresponding to the first image and the second picture corresponding to the second image are displayed on the display surface based on the electric signal obtained by the solid-state image sensing device.
Graphical user interface for displaying guidance information in a plurality of modes during an image-guided procedure
A method for displaying guidance information using a graphical user interface during an medical procedure comprises displaying, in a first mode of the graphical user interface, first image data from a perspective corresponding to a distal end of an elongate device. The first image data includes a virtual roadmap. The method also comprises transitioning from the first mode of the graphical user interface to a second mode of the graphical user interface. The transition is based on an occurrence of a triggering condition. The method also comprises displaying, in the second mode of the graphical user interface, second image data from a perspective corresponding to the distal end of the elongate device. The second image data includes a target indicator corresponding to a target location and an alignment indicator corresponding to an expected location of the medical procedure at the target location.
Light field capture and rendering for head-mounted displays
Systems and methods for capturing and rendering light fields for head-mounted displays are disclosed. A mediated-reality visualization system includes a head-mounted display assembly comprising a frame configured to be mounted to a user's head and a display device coupled to the frame. An imaging assembly separate and spaced apart :from the head-mounted display assembly is configured to capture light-field data. A computing device in communication with the imaging assembly and the display device is configured to receive light-field data from the imaging assembly and render one or more virtual cameras. Images from the one or more virtual cameras are presented to a user via the display device.
Surgical equipment control input visualization field
A control console includes a first input control operable by an operator and outside of a field of view of the operator, a display within the field of view of the operator, and a first image capture device. The first image capture device acquires a first image of a physical environment surrounding the first input control and at least part of the first input control. The first image is output on the display. In some embodiments, a second image of a work site may also be displayed, so that the operator can locate and operate the first input control while continuously viewing the second image of the work site.
ENDOSCOPE
An endoscope may have a shaft having a distal end portion and a proximal end portion. The endoscope may also have a first objective arranged at the distal end portion and a first optical axis. The endoscope may also have a second objective arranged at the distal end portion and a second optical axis. The endoscope may also have a lens system disposed within the shaft between the distal end portion and the proximal end portion, the lens system having an optical axis. The first objective and the second objective may be both optically coupled to the same lens system such that first parallel rays from the first objective and second parallel rays from the second objective are input into the lens system. The lens system may be an optical relay system may have at least one relay group or a tube lens group.
A MULTI FOCAL ENDOSCOPE
Provided is an endoscope having a tip at a distal section thereof, the tip includes a plurality of imaging units, at least one of the imaging units includes at least two optical lens assemblies and at least one optical sensor associated with the at least two optical lens assemblies, wherein each optical lens assembly has a different depth of field, thereby allowing to obtain a multi-focal image of a body cavity. Further provided are systems comprising the endoscope and methods of using the same in various endoscopic procedures.
ENDOSCOPIC THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A hearing normalization and correction system and process provides accurate correction for users with mild to moderate hearing loss by using actual measured hearing response at multiple sound pressure levels. User measured hearing data is collected at considerably higher resolution and accuracy at multiple sound pressure levels and is automatically converted to multiple accurate correction responses. Dynamic adaptive cross-fade response correction is used to deliver hearing normalization at varying sound pressure levels. Adaptive release response allows the hearing normalization system to accurately track the envelope of the incoming audio signal providing greatly enhanced accuracy and transparency. Adaptive headroom control is also applied to increase both input and output headroom providing professional dynamic range performance. The hearing normalization and correction system delivers audio fidelity and performance transcending that of normal hearing aid technology.
Articulated tool positioner and system employing same
A laparoscopic surgical apparatus for performing a surgical procedure through a single incision in a patient's body includes a gross positioning arm supported on a moveable platform, the gross positioner including a head; at least one articulated tool positioning apparatus coupled via a tool controller to an underside of the head, the articulated tool positioning apparatus being configured to receive a tool for performing surgical operations, the tool controller being actuated by the head to cause movements of the articulated tool positioning apparatus for performing surgical operations; and wherein the gross positioner is configured to permit the head to be positioned to facilitate insertion of the articulated tool positioning apparatus through the incision into the patient's body.
