AMINATION CATALYST AND PREPARATION AND USE THEREOF
Disclosed is a catalyst useful for producing organic amines by catalytic amination, its preparation and application thereof, wherein the catalyst comprises an inorganic porous carrier containing aluminum and/or silicon and an active metal component supported on the carrier, the active metal component comprises at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Group VIII and Group IB metals, and the carrier has an ammonia adsorption capacity of 0.25 to 0.65 mmol/g, as measured by NH.sub.3-TPD test. The catalyst has an improved performance, when used for producing organic amines by catalytic amination.

The catalyst has an improved performance, when used for producing organic amines by catalytic amination.
Process for the conversion of monoethanolamine to ethylenediamine employing a copper-modified zeolite of the MOR framework structure
The present invention relates to a process for the conversion of 2-aminoethanol to ethane-1,2-diamine and/or linear polyethylenimines of the formula H.sub.2N—[CH.sub.2CH.sub.2NH].sub.n—CH.sub.2CH.sub.2NH.sub.2 wherein n≥1 comprising: (i) providing a catalyst comprising a zeolitic material having the MOR framework structure comprising YO.sub.2 and X.sub.2O.sub.3, wherein Y is a tetravalent element and X is a trivalent element, said zeolitic material containing copper as extra-framework ions; (ii) providing a gas stream comprising 2-aminoethanol and ammonia; (iii) contacting the catalyst provided in (i) with the gas stream provided in (ii) for converting 2-aminoethanol to ethane-1,2-diamine and/or linear polyethylenimines.

A process for the preparation of aliphatic amines, comprises reacting an aliphatic alcohol with an aminating agent in the presence of a catalyst. The catalyst contains copper oxide on a support made of porous alumina, wherein the porous alumina has a volume, corresponding to pores greater than 500 Å in diameter, of from 10 ml/100 g to 95 ml/100 g.

A process for the preparation of aliphatic amines, comprises reacting an aliphatic alcohol with an aminating agent in the presence of a catalyst.
