A vent is connected to the balloon, a valve, and a pneumatic module to form an air inflator to inflate, hold and deflate the balloon. The valve opens and closes the liquid flow in the vent, and is controlled by a circuit module; the pneumatic module, providing inflating function, is controlled by the circuit module; the circuit module, has a microprocessor unit, a memory unit and an input-and-output unit.
ENDOSCOPE
An endoscope including: a shaft; a main body arranged at a proximal end of the shaft; an eyepiece arranged at a proximal end of the main body; an eyepiece system tube, in which the eyepiece is arranged; an eyepiece cone arranged at a proximal end of the eyepiece, wherein the eyepiece cone comprises at least two parts; and an electronic component arranged between the at least two parts of the eyepiece cone; wherein the electronic component is connected to an electronic circuit arranged inside the endoscope and outside the eyepiece system tube.
Rotational device and method for rotating an endoscope
A rotational device for rotating an endoscope having a stationary assembly, a rotatable assembly, which includes a distal coupling means for coupling to an endoscope, a drive means, which is embodied for putting the distal coupling means into rotational motion for rotating an endoscope connected to the distal coupling means, a proximal coupling means at the stationary assembly for coupling to a camera device, and an optical unit for transmitting light from the distal coupling means to the proximal coupling means.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMAGE-GUIDED PROCEDURES WITH SENSING STYLET
A medical apparatus includes: an endoscopic subsystem, a medical instrument, an imaging stylet; and a system console with data-processing capability. This image-guided system calculates, in-real time, a position of the instrument relative to a target within patient body to guide and control accurate placement of the instrument to the target. The stylet is configured to acquire image data intra-operatively. In addition, the stylet has a sensing region along a flexible distal portion of its length. The system console communicates with the stylet to calculate the position of the instrument inside a patient by using intra-operative image data of surrounding tissue acquired by the stylet, distributed strain data measured by the console within the sensing region of the stylet, and preoperative image data of the patient anatomy. The stylet incorporates optical guides that are advantageously used both for imaging and for distributed strain sensing, enabling miniaturization of the stylet for accomplishing an intra-operative image guidance and navigational feedback without increasing invasiveness or compromising safety of the guided medical procedures.
OCULAR FOR A SURGICAL INSTRUMENT
An ocular device for a surgical instrument having an ocular mount for an optical assembly. The ocular device including: an optical flat; and a holder for accommodating the optical flat, wherein the holder is configured to be connected to the ocular mount; wherein the optical flat having a widened side edge provided with a first contact surface for the ocular mount and a second contact surface for the holder, and a surface normal of the optical flat and the first contact surface of the optical flat facing the ocular mount form an angle different than 0° relative to each other.
VISION PRESERVATION SYSTEM FOR MEDICAL DEVICES
The present disclosure relates to vision preservation systems for medical devices, such as cryospray devices for use with endoscopes. Exemplary embodiments provide a distal attachment in the form of a shroud or cap that mounts to the end of a flexible endoscope. A purging fluid supply mechanism is provided along the length of the endoscope, providing a channel for purging fluid, such as gas, to communicate between the endoscope tip and an external gas supply. The cap or shroud assembly incorporates a lens clearing flow field adjustment mechanism, such as nozzles, designed to direct warm (room temperature or higher) purging fluid across a lens at the scope tip. Another flow deflection mechanism, such as a guide or nozzle, may be included with the cap to direct purging fluid at an angle away from the lens. Gas, as an example, directed across and toward the lens purges moisture to avoid condensation on the lens and shears debris and bodily fluids away from the field of view. Gas directed or deflected by a guide away from the lens serves the purpose of keeping incoming particles and fluid droplets (e.g. spatter) from impacting on the lens cover. The cap and shroud are designed to avoid entraining moist air from the body cavity or lumen being treated.
Telescopic intubation tube with distal camera
An extendable intubation device is disclosed that includes a tube assembly having a plurality of elongated tubes. Within the assembly, a base tube is coupled with an extension tube to maintain a continuous fluid pathway along the tube assembly during a fore-and-aft movement of the extension tube relative to the base tube. The extendable intubation device can include a camera system to allow a user (e.g. physician) to visually monitor the advancement of the distal end of the extension tube into the trachea of the patient. The camera system can include a sensor portion attached to the distal end of the extension tube and a monitor portion. A conductive wire connects the sensor portion to the monitor portion. The monitor portion of the camera system can be provided as an eyepiece at the proximal end of the intubation device and/or as a stand alone display.
OPTICAL SYSTEM FOR AN ENDOSCOPE
An optical system for an endoscope includes an objective and a reversal system arranged after the objective. The reversal system includes at least one reversal stage for projecting the distal intermediate image as a proximal intermediate image into a proximal intermediate image plane. The reversal system imprints on the proximal intermediate image a first longitudinal chromatic aberration referred to a predetermined wavelength from the visible spectrum and a predetermined wavelength from the near infrared range. The objective imprints on the distal intermediate image a second longitudinal chromatic aberration referred to the predetermined wavelength from the visible spectrum and the predetermined wavelength from the near infrared range. The second longitudinal chromatic aberration has the opposite sign relative to the first longitudinal chromatic aberration, which reduces the longitudinal chromatic aberration caused by the reversal system in the proximal intermediate image.

The dissecting device includes a dissecting member at the distal portion of the grasping section. The dissecting member is insertable into the living body along the blood vessel to dissect the tissue surrounding the blood vessel in the living body.
