11766166 · 2023-09-26 · ·

An endoscope eyepiece grasping mechanism includes a base part engaging a tab member via a connected engagement member. An annular part has an outer engagement surface and an inner camming surface disposed coaxially with the base part and axially moveable relative to the base part. The engagement surface is moveable with the camming surface to move the tab member radially outwardly, with a movement of the annular part relative to the base part in a first axial direction, toward a receiving position, and to move the tab member radially inwardly, with movement of the annular part relative to the base part in a second axial direction, toward a grasping position. A biasing device acts to bias the annular part toward the grasping position. An endoscope eyepiece is engaged by the tab member upon the annular part moving from the receiving position to the grasping position.

Cannula with proximally mounted camera and transparent obturator

A cannula system and method for accessing a blood mass in the brain. The system comprises a cannula with a camera mounted on the proximal end of the cannula with a view into the cannula lumen and the surgical field below the lumen. A prism, reflector or other suitable optical element is oriented between the camera and the lumen of the cannula to afford the camera a view into the cannula while minimizing obstruction of the lumen. The system may also include an obturator with a small diameter shaft and a large diameter tip which is optically transmissive, so that a surgeon inserting or manipulating the assembly can easily see that the obturator tip is near brain tissue (which is white) or blood (which is red).

ENDOSCOPE DEVICE

An endoscope device includes an insertion portion. The insertion portion includes a distal end. The distal end includes a lens holder, a lens disposed in the lens holder, an image sensor corresponding to the lens and a flexible circuit board electrically connected to the image sensor and a circuit board holder. The flexible circuit board is jointly clamped by the circuit board holder and the lens holder.

OTOSCOPE SUCTION ADAPTER FOR REMOVING FOREIGN OBJECTS AND DEBRIS FROM THE EAR CANAL AND NASAL PASSAGE

An otoscope suction adapter is a funnel shaped suction device that attaches to both an otoscope and suction unit in order to remove foreign objects and debris from the ear canal. The distal opening is referred to as the suction tip, which passes to a suction chamber, suction tube, and suction connector. On the posterior external aspect of the device, a point of attachment exists for the attachment of an otoscope. This allows for the transmission of light and visualization through the suction tip during suctioning procedures. The suction connector serves as a point of attachment for suction tubing and a portable or wall suction device. Emergency Room physicians affix this device to an otoscope and suction unit when attempting to remove foreign objects from a patient's ear canal. Practitioners may also use this device to remove excess ear wax and debris.

Anti-Fogging System that can be Thermoregulated by Means of a Micro Controller for Rigid Endoscopes

The end result, with the combination of an anti-fogging system that can be thermoregulated by means of a micro controller, for rigid endoscopes, which is the subject matter of the invention, is to have an apparently standard rigid endoscope (FIG. 4) that can withstand continuous temperature changes during surgical intervention, imparting value to the endoscopic device and preventing general fogging. With this thermoregulatable anti-fogging system, temperature levels can be controlled, it thereby being easy to prevent fogging/condensation in any intervention where a rigid endoscope is used, such as hysteroscopy, cystoscopy, general surgery, arthroscopy, etc. Using the invention completely prevents the need for the surgeon to remove the endoscope from inside the patient in the middle of surgery.

Thus, the surgeon does not become fatigued by continuous poor visibility. This reduces the duration of the intervention, optimising the process and providing the quality of vision anticipated for the endoscope in question.

PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT DEVICE

An instrument head is provided for attachment to a plurality of instrument handles having different power profiles. The instrument head contains an illumination assembly including at least one LED as well as a drive circuit for detecting a power profile of an attached instrument handle and converting variable voltages received from the attached instrument handle to a constant current for powering the at least one LED based on the power profile. Accordingly, the instrument head enables use with a plurality of instrument handles, including those originally configured for use only with incandescent light sources.

Endoscope with optics for correcting aberrations caused by viewing window

An endoscope includes a window component made of a transparent material at the distal end of the endoscope, wherein the window component is not rotationally symmetric in relation to the direction of view, and an optical correction apparatus with a cylindrical lens for correcting the aberration of the window component. The correction apparatus may contain a second lens movable relative to the cylindrical lens.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONFIGURING AN OPTICAL LIGHT PATH

An accessory that is attachable to a device comprises an image sensor and a beam splitter having a first surface and a second surface. The beam splitter is configured to impinge light upon the first surface, and split the light impinging upon the first surface into at least a first beam, a second beam, and a third beam. The first beam travels from a first opening of the device to a second opening of the device along an optical path when the accessory is attached to the device, the second beam travels from the first surface to the image sensor, and the third beam travels from the second surface to the image sensor or a beam dump.

OBSERVATION INSTRUMENT

An observation instrument includes an instrument shaft having a distal end and a proximal end, and an optical arrangement extending at least sectionally through the instrument shaft. The optical arrangement includes at least one optical component that is accommodated in a support shaft. The support shaft is arranged in the instrument shaft in an at least sectionally axially displaceable manner and is preloaded distally.
