FLEXIBLE TUBULAR ELONGATE MEMBER FOR MEDICAL USE, AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A kink-resistant and/or deformation-resistant flexible tubular elongate member capable of being retroflexed greater than 90, such as greater than 180, without one or more lumens therethrough kinking, deforming, distorting, ovalizing, elongating, or otherwise changing shape and/or otherwise being affected functionally.
Distal tips for medical devices
A medical device may comprise a distal tip having a viewing element, a lighting element, and at least one feature configured to removably couple the distal tip to a shaft. The medical device may also comprise a working channel coupled to the distal tip and defining a central lumen configured to receive a tool. A wall of the working channel may define at least one additional lumen. The working channel may be configured to be removably inserted into the shaft. The medical device may also comprise at least one of a wire, a cable, or a conduit passing through the at least one additional lumen.
ENDOSCOPE HAVING INTEGRATED VISUAL FIELD ENHANCEMENT SYSTEM
A scope includes an elongate body, a lens at the distal end of the elongate body, at least one conduit, and a view optimizing assembly. The conduit is configured to connect to an air supply. The view optimizing assembly extends from the distal end of the elongate body past the lens and includes a first lumen and a second lumen, a plurality of dividers separating the lumens, and a deflector. The first and second lumens are in fluid communication with the conduit and are sized such that a single velocity flow from the conduit separates into a first flow through the first lumen and a second flow through the second lumen. The first flow has a higher velocity than the second flow. The deflector assembly is configured such that air exiting the first and second lumens combines to keep debris off of the lens.
INTEGRATED STEERING DEVICE
A steering device for use in a body lumen of a patient, which comprises a flexible tube; a plurality of spaced-apart elements positioned along at least a portion of the tube; wherein the plurality of spaced-apart elements and the tube form a single integrated unit; and at least two steering wires having at least a portion passing through the spaced-apart elements and at least a portion passing within the tube. According to another broad aspect, there is provided a steering device for use in a body lumen of a patient, comprising: a flexible tube; at least two steering wires having at least a portion passing within the flexible tube; at least two spring-like sleeves; each spring-like sleeve at least partially enclosing a steering wire respectively; wherein the spring-like sleeve has a variable pitch along its length; such that the flexible tube comprises at least two portions having different bending properties.
ENDOSCOPE APPARATUS AND ENDOSCOPE
An endoscope apparatus includes: an endoscope including an insertion portion, a suction conduit, a by-pass conduit, a suction button, and a solenoid valve; a high-frequency knife; and a valve opening/closing portion.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FIXATION TO ENDOSCOPE ACCESSORIES
A probe coupling apparatus can be provided which can include, e.g., at least two opposing edges, one of the edges being configured to receive a tip of a probe. The exemplary apparatus can also include an orifice provided between the edges and a portion provided between the opposing edges and extending along the orifice. The portion can have a structure such that, when a force is applied to a section of the portion, a cross-sectional area of the orifice is increase, and, when the force is released, the area is decreased.
Optical fiber assembly, method of fabricating same, and probe
An optical fiber assembly includes optical fibers, an array member, an adhesive part, a cylindrical member and a fixing member. The fibers are inserted into the array member, and the array member is inserted into a cylindrical part of the cylindrical member. The adhesive part is disposed on one-end side of the array member. The fibers extend through the one end. The cylindrical part and the fixing member are fixed to each other in a state in which (i) the array member is sandwiched between a terminal part of the cylindrical member and the fixing member in an axial direction and (ii) the array member is positioned in the axial direction in relation to the cylindrical part. Thereby, the array member and the adhesive part are housed in a structure constituted of the cylindrical member and the fixing member.
ENDOSCOPE WITH INTEGRATED STABILIZER AND CANNULATION ELEMENTS
An endoscope system can include a control handle, a primary scope, an auxiliary scope, and a guide. The primary scope can extend from the control handle to a distal portion and can be configured for insertion into a passage of a patient, the primary scope can define a working channel extending therethrough. The auxiliary scope can be located at least partially within the working channel and can be movable to extend from the primary scope. The guide can be extendable from the distal portion of the primary scope to guide extension of the auxiliary scope from the primary scope.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL VISUALIZATION INSTRUMENT
A multifunctional visualization instrument is provided that, in certain embodiments, includes a body having a proximal end and a distal end. The multifunctional visualization instrument includes a display screen on the body and a camera stick at the distal end of the body and comprising an arm and a camera. The arm of the camera stick is sized to fit within a channel of a removable laryngoscope blade. The multifunctional visualization instrument includes a port on a surface of the laryngoscope, configured to mate with an introducer and a steering input for steering the introducer, displayed on the display screen simultaneously with an image of the patient captured by the camera.
Treatment device
A treatment device includes a flexible sheath; a wire configured to be inserted into the sheath; a first treatment member disposed at distal side from the wire; a second treatment member disposed at a distal side from the first treatment member; and a protection member configured to cover the second treatment member when the first treatment member projects from a distal end of the sheath.
