Substantially rigid and stable endoluminal surgical suite for treating a gastrointestinal lesion
Exemplary embodiments of devices and method for affecting at least one anatomical tissue can be provided. A configuration can be provided that includes a structure which is expandable (i) having and/or (ii) forming at least one opening or a working space through which the anatomical tissue(s) is placed in the structure. For example, the structure, prior to being expanding, can have at least one partially rigid portion. In addition, or as an alternative, upon a partial or complete expansion thereof, the structure can be controllable to have a plurality of shapes. Further, the structure can be controllable to provide the working space with multiple shapes and/or multiple sizes.
Control device, image diagnosis apparatus, method for processing of control device, and program
A control device is disclosed that includes a processor configured to: receive a signal from an imaging core, the imaging core including an optical transceiver and an ultrasound transceiver; determine whether the imaging core is in a state where the ultrasound transceiver can properly execute transmission and reception, based on at least one of the signal from the optical transceiver and the signal from the ultrasound transceiver which are received from the imaging; and control execution of an optical path length adjustment for imaging with the optical transceiver when the ultrasound transceiver can properly execute the transmission and reception.
INTEGRATED MULTI-FUNCTIONAL ENDOSCOPIC TOOL
A system for extending the visual capabilities and working channel of a bronchoscope including a probe having optic and/or tracking capabilities at a distal tip thereof and capable of being advanced through the working channel of a standard bronchoscope. The probe also includes a working channel through which various diagnostic and treatment tools may be advanced.
ENDOSCOPY DEVICE
An endoscopy device for introducing an expandable body into a cavity includes a first endoscope having a working channel, a further endoscope accommodating the expandable body and insertable with the expandable body in the working channel of the first endoscope, and a video unit located in the further endoscope in parallel relation to the expandable body and having a distal end situated next to a distal end of the expandable body in order to place the expandable body under visual control in the cavity prior to expansion. The video unit is designed to form an abutment at a proximal end of the expandable body after positioning of the expandable body and when the further endoscope is withdrawn.
Flexible robotic endoscopy system
An embodiment of the invention is an endoscopy system with newly designed docking block, brake control, wire tension adjustment, bending angle sensor, memory chip data storage, valve control, imaging lens cleaning, optimized lumen arrangement and distal position sensor. The docking block can have a one-touch retaining mechanism. Braking control can be accessed by the endoscopist at the hand grip or knobs. Wire tension can be relaxed or tightened in response to surgeon or endoscopist control. Bending angle sensors can protect surgical instruments. Memory chip can store usage data of the endoscope. Multiple valves can have priority control. Lenses can be cleaned with one touch of a button. Lumens can be arranged to maximize imaging and lighting angles. Position markers accompanied with sensors can position the distal end of the endoscope automatically in the optimal position.
BASKET DEVICE FOR ENDOSCOPE
A basket device for an endoscope includes a base tube attached to an end of an endoscope tube and including at least one channel through which an endoscopic camera or a surgical instrument passes, a plurality of baskets provided at locations separate from each other in a radial direction along an edge of an end of the base tube and formed to protrude in a direction in which each of the baskets is to be expanded, and an operator formed to surround the plurality of baskets at the end of the base tube and being slidable in a longitudinal direction of the base tube.
MEDICAL DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
Devices, systems, and methods are provided for breaking a kidney stone(s) into smaller particles, fragments, and/or stone dust; and removing the same from a patient. The medical device may include a tube having a distal end, a proximal end, a port located proximal of the distal end, and a length of the tube extending between the proximal end and the distal end. A first portion of the tube may be proximal of the port and have a first cross-sectional area, while a second portion of the tube may be distal of the port and have a second cross-sectional area smaller than the first cross-sectional area. A first lumen may extend from the proximal end to the distal end of the tube. A second lumen may in communication with the port to fluidly connect the proximal end of the tube with the port.
Endoscopy system
According to the present invention, there is provided an endoscopy system comprising an endoscope guide and an endoscope. The endoscope of the system comprises a proximal end and a distal end. The endoscope guide of the system comprises a proximal end, a mid-section comprising at least one endoscope entry port, a distal end comprising at least one endoscope exit port, a lumen capable of receiving an endoscope extending from the at least one entry port to the at least one exit port and at least one bend located between the at least one entry port and the at least one exit port. The endoscope guide is capable of directing the insertion of the distal end of the endoscope into a body cavity when the distal end of the endoscope exits the endoscope exit port and the distal end of the endoscope guide is also configured so as to be capable to be retained within the body cavity during a surgical procedure so as to control the positioning of the distal end of the endoscope within the body cavity.
TREATMENT DEVICE
A treatment device includes a flexible sheath; a wire configured to be inserted into the sheath; a first treatment member disposed at distal side from the wire; a second treatment member disposed at a distal side from the first treatment member; and a protection member configured to cover the second treatment member when the first treatment member projects from a distal end of the sheath.
INSERTION DEVICE
An insertion device includes: a tube having a first hole extending along a longitudinal axis of an insertion portion inserted into a subject and a second hole communicating with the first hole; and a frame member covering a periphery of an opening of the second hole formed on an outer peripheral surface of the tube, wherein the frame member includes a forceps channel which includes a first conduit including a first tubular path forming a first angle being an acute angle to the longitudinal axis, a second conduit including a second tubular path forming a second angle smaller than the first angle to the longitudinal axis, and an intermediate conduit including an intermediate tubular path, and the forceps channel includes a plurality of bent regions, and curvature centers of the plurality of bent regions are disposed in different directions with respect to the forceps channel.
