COMBINED ULTRASOUND AND ENDOSCOPY
20220378400 · 2022-12-01 ·

A combined ultrasonic and endoscopy system includes a cannula with a distal tip configured for insertion into an internal organ or other internal body structure. The distal tip is configured to include both an ultrasound probe head and a camera module. The ultrasonic and direct vision endoscopy images can be simultaneously displayed to a user on a display monitor. The ultrasound probe head can be rotated and steered to scan any location in the human organ cavity. The ultrasound probe can be re-usable or single use. The endoscopy system can be configured with a handheld portion that includes a re-usable handle portion and a single use portion that is configured to be disposed of following a single use. The system can also be configured using a conventional re-usable endoscope with working channels and an endoscopy processing tower system.

ENDOSCOPE AND METHOD OF USE

Disclosed herein are endoscope assemblies, and more particularly endoscopes with a working channel for use in hysteroscopy, and methods of use thereof. Devices and systems related to an integrated hysteroscopic treatment system including an endoscopic viewing system, a fluid management system, a resecting device and a controller for operating all the systems. Also disclosed are integrated hysteroscopic treatment systems that include an endoscopic viewing system, a fluid management system, a resecting device and a controller for operating all the systems.

A suction catheter assembly structured to be movably positioned within a lumen of the body including an elongated base having a channel extending interiorly along the length thereof and further structured to connect the channel to a source of negative pressure. A tip is fixedly or removably connected to a distal end of said base and includes an inlet port and a flow path disposed in fluid communication with the channel. A viewing structure is connected to and movable with the base and is oriented relative thereto to define a line of sight providing observation of a path of travel of said base within the body lumen or medical tubing and is disposed laterally outward from at least a majority of a length of said flow path and the inlet port in substantially aligned, parallel relation to a central axis of said channel.

Dual view endoscope

An endoscope is provided to examine internal organs with front and rear views. The endoscope comprises a shaft extending from a distal end in a rearward direction along a longitudinal axis towards a proximal end, with the distal and proximal ends defining a hollow channel extended there-through. The endoscope further comprises a first lens positioned adjacent to the distal end and configured to receive a first image in a forward direction along the longitudinal axis, with the forward direction generally 180 degree from the rearward direction. The endoscope further comprises a rearview module positioned adjacent to the distal end. The rearview module comprises a second lens configured to be positioned adjacent to the distal end, and receive a second image in a target direction having a directional component in the rearward direction along the longitudinal axis, independently of the first lens receiving the first image in the forward direction.

Colon evacuation without collapse

Methods of colon cleansing and/or inspection are described which safely maintain a colon in an uncollapsed state. Balanced replacement of a volume of fluid, gas and/or solids evacuated during cleansing of the colon is described. Replacement volume comprises, for example, cleansing fluid, jetting gas, and/or inflation gas. In some embodiments, balancing of evacuated and replacement volume is achieved under automatic control, based on monitored volume of material exchange, and/or measurement of resulting pressures.

Respiration assistance device

A respiration assistance device includes a nasal respiration assisting section for supplying a gas to the nasal cavity of a living body. The nasal respiration assisting section includes: a first gas supplying portion which supplies a gas below one of the nostrils of the living body; a second gas supplying portion which supplies the gas below the other nostril of the living body; a first tube connecting portion to which a tube for supplying the gas to the first gas supplying portion is connectable; and a second tube connecting portion to which a tube for supplying the gas to the second gas supplying portion is connectable.

Provided are an endoscope apparatus capable of reducing a diameter of a mounting portion in a case where a balloon is mounted on an insertion part of an endoscope, and the balloon. An endoscope apparatus includes an endoscope having an insertion part, and a balloon mounted on the insertion part. The balloon includes a first sleeve part, a second sleeve part, and a balloon main body. The balloon has an inner diameter of the first sleeve part, which is 1/10 or more and ½ or less of an outer diameter of the insertion part, in a pre-mounting state before the balloon is mounted to the insertion part. An inner diameter of the second sleeve part may be set to 1/10 or more and ½ or less of the outer diameter of the insertion part. Further, the inner diameter of the second sleeve part may be larger than ½ of the outer diameter of the insertion part and smaller than the outer diameter of the insertion part, and an axial length of the second sleeve part of the balloon may be set to be longer than that of the first sleeve part.
