Control device, control method, and surgical system
The present technology relates to a control device, a control method, and a surgical system that enable an operator to implement operation without a burden. A control unit controls a plurality of patterns of operations of a surgical instrument, and an acquisition unit obtains motion information indicating a motion of a user. Furthermore, the control unit controls the operations of the respective patterns corresponding to the motion information obtained by the acquisition unit in parallel using only a single operation performed by the user as a trigger. The present technology can be applied to a control device of a surgical system.
Surgical cutting device with gear mechanism
An integrated hysteroscopic treatment system which includes an endoscopic viewing system, a fluid management system, a resecting device and a controller for operating all the systems.

IMAGE ROTATION IN AN ENDOSCOPIC HYPERSPECTRAL, FLUORESCENCE, AND LASER MAPPING IMAGING SYSTEM
Image rotation in an endoscopic hyperspectral, fluorescence, and/or laser mapping imaging system is described. A system includes an emitter for emitting pulses of electromagnetic radiation and an image sensor comprising a pixel array for sensing reflected electromagnetic radiation. The system includes a rotation sensor for detecting an angle of rotation of a lumen relative to a handpiece of an endoscope. The system is such that at least a portion of the pulses of electromagnetic radiation emitted by the emitter comprises one or more of a hyperspectral emission, a fluorescence emission, and/or a laser mapping pattern.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, GENERATION METHOD, AND GENERATION PROGRAM
A generation unit that generates an output image by correcting a first image based on deterioration of the first image due to a substance generated during surgery estimated based on the first image that is an image regarding surgery and a second image that is an image prior to the first image is included.

ENDOSCOPE PROCESSOR, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
A processor for an endoscope includes: a determination unit that determines whether a start condition for starting acquisition of a moving image, which is limited to a predetermined time length and has a resolution equal to or higher than that of a still image captured by an endoscope, is satisfied; and a moving image acquisition unit that starts the acquisition of the moving image when the determination unit determines that the start condition is satisfied.
Capturing an image of a scene
An imaging device for use with an endoscope, the imaging device comprising: a lens arrangement operable to receive light from a scene captured by the endoscope and to form an image of the scene using the received light; an image sensor operable to capture the image of the scene formed by the lens arrangement; a birefringent device positioned along an optical path between the endoscope and the image sensor, wherein the birefringent device comprises birefringent material arranged in a plurality of concentric rings, and wherein the birefringent material of each of the concentric rings is configured such that the polarisation directions of an ordinary ray and an extraordinary ray of light from the scene which travels through the birefringent material are different for at least two of the plurality of concentric rings; and an image processor operable to process the captured image to generate an output image.
Endoscope observation method and endoscope apparatus
An endoscope observation method includes irradiating first and second narrowband light to an observation object. The first and second narrowband light have wavelengths at which absorbances of first and second characteristic substances related to a predetermined state of the observation object and contained in the observation object are mutually different. The method also includes performing imaging by use of reflected light of the first and second narrowband light from the observation object to obtain first and second image data, and forming a characteristic substance presence image regarding the presence of the first and second characteristic substance, on the basis of characteristic amounts of the first and second characteristic substances contained in the first and second image data.
Medical system and operation method therefor
A medical system includes: an endoscope and at least one treatment tool; a treatment-tool coordinate calculating unit that extracts the treatment tool by processing two or more images acquired at different times by the endoscope, that determines directions of longitudinal axes of the extracted treatment tool, and that calculates a coordinate of an intersection of the determined two or more longitudinal axes; and a judgment unit that judges whether the treatment tool serves as a follow target, on the basis of the coordinate of the intersection calculated by the treatment-tool coordinate calculating unit.
